My 3DS Broke!

I don't know how it happened, but my 3DS shorted out during lunch at work today. I am unable to fix the problem. As such, I had to get a new one. I now have a 3DS XL. It cost me $200, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Still, this means I have to go through the trouble of re-buying a few games. Darn! Why did this have to happen?

I hope that does well for you. Good luck with it working for a long time. If it happens again you can consider getting a 2ds, coming out later this year I read.

Whaaat? Do you really have to buy games AGAIN if your 3ds breaks? Aren't those tied to your account in any way? That's pure rip-off. I haven't bought anything via the Nintendo store yet, but this really makes me not want to buy anything there

I've also got a 3DS XL, it's definitely worth the bigger screen. When I get my old DS lite in my hands, I'm always whining about the small screen, haha. BTW Can I have your friendcode? I'm assuming you're getting X & Y as well when they come out..

It was actually my own fault on that account. For one thing, I did not tie the data to any sort of online account with Nintendo, nor did I back it up on my SD card. It was all tied to the system without enabling some sort of back up for it. As such, I've lost any games I downloaded. I still have many games that are of physical copies, and can continue playing where I left off on those. So yeah, I've lost all of my downloaded games due to me not backing it up.

As for my Friend Code, I have yet to connect to the internet with my new system. I am currently having trouble with connecting for some reason.

I will keep trying, but if problems persist, I won't be able to reveal it until Sunday when I connect to the router at my parents house.

So please, be patient with me on this one, okay?
