What does the "Time of Great Growing" refer to?

Does it refer to teen years at last or does it refer to the time right when one reaches adulthood or does it refer to adulthood itself?  

I think the last one seems unlikely, given that it was mentioned in the TV Series and Littlefoot still seems years off from adulthood.  (Unless he's naturally going to be short!    )

That's the LBT term for "puberty"   As in puberty we humans usually get quite a growth spurt and... so do dinosaurs I suppose
