Did the three hyena bad guys die in the fire?

It almost looks like flames went toward them as they attacked Scar. Did they die?

The three appeared in the (second?) movie, so I don't think they died there xD

And besides, they were accustomed to live in dangerous places and were able to kill off Scar really fast, because they outnumbered him. I don't think that a simple fire could finish them off.

I was wondering, if there was ever a Lion King 3 where they returned, do you think people would be ticked if they were killed off, even if they committed some horrible act of evil or did something nasty that would warrant their deaths?

I don't think so, it's a little late for making them pay for whatever crimes they might had committed in the past... it just wouldn't be the same.

And besides, they are the last villains on the saga (or at least, the last ENGAGING ones) so, unless they could come off with something REALLY good, I don't see much point on getting rid of these three stooges.
