The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Have any of you seen Marzgurl's reviews of the Land Before Time sequels? They aren't up right now because Blip was recently shut down, but they will be back eventually somehow.

Yes, her. But doesn't she have some good reasons?

Yes I've seen Marzgurl's reviews. And I have to be honest can't say I liked them that much. I think she was WAY too negative in some parts, and over reacted at some stuff too.. Can't say I liked some of the things she said in some of her reviews either.   :anger
And her reviews were way too serious. Granted if I were to review the LBT movies I'd rant and rave a bit. But I'd also make some jokes and point out some positive stuff too.

Don Bluth himself hated them, too.

Then again, he probably also hated An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, which I thought was great.

I have not seen her reviews, but from previous comments I hear she is a disser? She might need to talk to Sharptooth  :smile

Where did it say that Don Bluth hated the sequels? I never seen any comment from that guy about hating the LBT sequels.

As for MarzGurl, I never watched her reviews, but I kind of just shrug. I wouldn't say she's a "disser"; I try not to use that word. I just think she's someone who loved the original and just didn't like where the sequels went, and that's understandable. LBT went from a pretty serious and somewhat gritty survival story into a musical of singing dinosaurs. Sure there's still danger, but it was more toned down and child friendly. I can see why some people may not like this.

My brother and I have thought of reviewing the LBT movies as well, but that was before MarzGurl beat us to the punch. We might still do it sometime, but we don't know when.

Saw her review from LBT 13 a few years ago...the only thing I remember she liked about it were the sharpteeth.
Growing up I was a big LBT fan and had seen all movies and TV series episodes. On the forum, I was formerly known as Hypnobrai until Nov 11, 2017.

In recent years, I have gained an interest in the production of The Land Before Time, particularly the deleted scenes of the original film. New discoveries have been made in the last few years and continue to be made, so I feel that it is a good time to contribute.

I have always loved sharpteeth more than any other creatures in the franchise, such as the fourteenth film's Carnotaurus, the fifth film's Sharptooth, and #1 by far - the original Sharptooth.

From 2017-2019, I was an administrator for the LBT wiki.

I haven't seen her reviews (nor haven't I heard her name until this very post) but I'm curious now... does she have a YouTube channel or something? Also, RIP Blip.TV, you will be missed.

She has a Youtube account, though I cannot find her LBT reviews on there.

Thanks :) I'll see what I can find :)

EDIT: Ok, I'm watching her review about Final Fantasy XIII and, aside for the fact that she needs to slow the heck down :p, I'm actually finding it very professional. Maybe the LBT one aren't like this, but darn I'm having mixed feelings about the whole thing now.

Can't say I have, but judging from what I'm hearing about her on this thread, I'm glad I haven't. Reviews need to be unbiased and objective for the most part.
