The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Too Much Focus on Littlefoot?

A common criticism I have heard from critics is that the sequels focus way too much on Littlefoot to the point where he isn't interesting anymore. Do you agree or disagree? Personally, I can see where they're coming from but it doesn't bother me too much.

He's the main character, of course he's going to have the most focus. Whether his characterization objectively works or not is another matter entirely.

- These Longnecks always think they're the most important. :ToppsGrumpy
- Yeah!  :ceramad Why this egghead has so much attention? It will be better if some smart and brave girl takes his spotlight place... :cerasmug

Well, honestly, in last years, I had such feeling. Not very strong and accusing feeling, but still.
Considering movies, only movie without Littlefoot's plotline is XII (in my opinion). And in my opinion, it's quite a lot. Even if he's my fav loveable character, even if he's the most central protagonist of series... Sometimes, such huge amount of time, when you have other characters, is not the best option. Because of that, now I have more interest of rewatching that movies and TV episode where Littlefoot is not main character, even if these movies  and TV episodes are not great in my opinion.

Still, this fact didn't change my opinion about Littlefoot himself, he is stilll interesting character for me.

Interesting. As much as I like Littlefoot as a main character, I also find myself drawn to the movies and storylines where a supporting character is the central focus, e.g. LBT VIII and LBT XII. It's a very nice and unique change of pace.

While I do think a movie based on a different character in The gang of seven like for example LBT 12 but instead of Petrie it's something about ducky (shout out to the swimmer trials fanfic) or ruby would be cool and yes I do think LBT 15 will happen someday, littlefoot is the star of the show and without him it would just be like if mario wasn't in Super Mario bros.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.
