The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I'm going on holiday to France over the Summer holidays, and I was wondering about getting an internet connection over there. At the moment we have a household network, which I can tap into with my laptop's built-in wireless. So I'm just asking for a quick low-down of the different ways I could get onto the internet for those two weeks, without having to hand over large sums of cash. I'm not that desperate, I'm just considering the possibility here.

I've never been to France, but one possibility could be if they have places with wifi, I don't know what places do but if they have things like Starbucks or things like that, that could be one possibility, a cafe or something might.  I don't know of libraries do or not.  airports may, but it's hard to hang around in an airport if you are not waiting for a flight.  Just a few ideas I had, maybe some or all of them will not work since I am not experienced in that area.  Others here will know more then I do.

You could get internet wherever you go no matter how close you are to a wifi location, however it costs a lot.  You have to sign a 1 year contract, pay $400-$600 for the card (depending on quality), and spend at least $60 monthly to have the service.  I have this service, but it's only because my school won't let me on their wifi. I would suggest getting it if you want to spend that sort of money.  You get insane speeds. :yes
