Well, we've got the possibilty of 25 cars on the grid, the first car launches a couple of weeks away, the possibility of an American F1 team, and the return of Michael Schumacher. Bring on the Bahrain Grand Prix, I can't wait!

Ferrari unveiled their 2010 car today!

It's only a week until the first tests... knowing Ferrari I think they'll be able to bounce back from 2009 and get back on top. But with Shumi back in the mix and Red Bull creating what is meant to be the most radical design on the grid, who knows?

And Autosport has spied Williams testing their new car at Silverstone...

Seems to me that there's a trend emerging, following the direction that Red Bull took last year with their car's design. You can see from the Ferrari and Williams that they have mimiced various design techniques that RBR used in 2009: the high, ridged nose and bulbous sidepods were both very distictive on the Red Bull last year, and the other teams seem to be making use of them in the hope that they will get a bit of speed as well...

There's not many sports channels in my area that does racing other than NASCAR (not that I don't like it, I just like Formula, Le Mans, and Moto a little better), so I haven't watched much of F1 news. Only one that I remember was the formula cars were under visual changes that not many fans liked. I hope to watch more racing these days.

Yeah, that would be because of the 2009 regulations. Apparently they were designed to improve overtaking, and the changes actually worked in the first part of the season - I saw cars overtaking each other all over the place. Then everyone started copying Brawn GP and their double diffuser technology, and overtaking went out of fashion again.

McLaren's launch is tonight... I can't wait to see what they've come up with this year.

Now we only have two teams who have yet to reveal their cars: USF1 and Campos. I don't know if either of them will be able to make it to the grid, being new teams and all, but time will tell... :unsure:

Changes have also been made to the layout of two of the circuits on this year's calendar: Bahrain and Silverstone.

Bahrain will now make use of the layout used by the 24 hour race held at the track:

And Silverstone will use its new Arena layout for the British Grand Prix (the new track is marked with a continuous red line, and the old route is plain grey):

My personal opinion: No comment on Bahrain (IMO it looks like a bird with its brains spilling out now

), but I reckon Silverstone's new layout id dynamic and challenging. Of course Bridge Corner won't be used anymore, but the new track built seems super fast, and will probably go some way to making silverstone a bit more like the flat-out airfield circuit it once was.
