Current Movie of Interest: The Secret of NIMH
Currently Reading: Unfinished Tales of J.R.R Tolkien
Music of the week: David Arkenstone collection

In agreement with my friend Adam (or Petrie in the forums here), I'm wondering if perhaps I should slow down here... I've been overloading myself with projects and I haven't hardly included time for myself to catch a single breath (not that I have been following my schedule at all lately)

Let me see here...

1. I'm writing 6 books (two are short childrens literature's, and one is an adaptation to a film by Richardson Productions)
2. I'm working on a comic book (as commissioned to do so)
3. I'm working on my art portfolio.
4. I have a desire to take up acting.
5. I have a desire to sing and write songs.
6. I have a desire to learn to play an instrument (piano or guitar)
7. I plan to start a series of graphic novels.
8. I plan to host three webcomics in the coming months.
9. I plan to host a bi-weekly video blog.
10. I plan to design a series of websites for all the things above.
11. Annnd I'm trying to maintain a healthy schedule of exercise and healthy eating.

to top it all off, once I get me a job I haven't the foggiest how I'm going to fit all the above into my daily schedule unless I chose to not have a weekend at all.

So... a cut down is in order. I'm to be listing everything I'm doing and take out the ones that are least important and keep the ones that are important (portfolio and literature, along with the commissioned comic book work) the ones that are taken out shall be on my list to do later, when they can be included in my schedule.

Its all for my good health, y'know?

Anyway, nothing really new at the moment. I plan to do more thumbnail pieces for the Fairy picture, and I may upload some of the songs I had written in recent literature and send them in the updates for Friday.

The past three days I've been stuck at my mother's to watch the dogs while they went to Uncle Buck's funeral. Had the house to myself for which I took the time to goof off and download videos from Youtube.

The one exciting thing that I've failed to mention in the recent updates is that if my figuring of my tax returns is correct, I may be getting myself a brand new computer! One of them tiny Acer laptops that are just so damn nifty! And very portable too. =)

They really are.  That's what I have ;)  :yes.

Holy crap!  That's an awful lot for one person to do.  I work full-time and attend college full-time and don't have the time to do half the writing I'd love to do.  Yeah, ya outta slow down a little and focus on a solid employment position first ;).

You are the only one that can say if you are keeping yourself to busy or not.  To some it may seem so, but each person is different and what may seem to hectic and busy to 1 may be ok to another.

I just gotta say something about that tiny Acer laptop.  Just don't do it man.  It can only handle 2gb of ram (which can only be upgraded by Acer) and has no DVD drive.  It has a tiny useless screen.  You might as well get a PDA, but with how expensive the Acer laptop is, just go with a new Toshiba one with a 15.4 inch widescreen.  Screen size is almost everything in a laptop and with the limited expandability of the Acer laptop, it's just not worth it.

Look on craigslist.  You can get a $800 laptop for $300 (the same price as the Acer) and it'll be more powerful, have a bigger keyboard, and it'll have a decent sized screen.  They are nifty little things (I have 4 of them myself), but they're just not practical for a main laptop.  If all you want to do is take notes in college (and you have tiny fingers) then it'd be fine, but I don't see the point in getting a laptop with such a small screen and keyboard that's so weak in power when you can get a powerful large screened full keyboarded laptop for the same price.

As for the question of if you should slow down or not, all I can say is that I would if I were in your place.  But then again, I'm not you.  If you feel like you should slow down, then do it but if you can keep up the pace and still be happy in life then go ahead.

Leave it to the good tech mate to give such good tech advise =)

Really, I just want this little laptop for the sake of work (word processing and file storage) I still have my main laptop, though at the moment its condition is a deteriorating one it still plays its purpose (video games, online related stuff, and more file storage)

Though I may take your advise and see what other things are out there, but really, I want that tiny Acer for the sake of my writing. Something that small I can carry anywhere and get more done most importantly, when inspiration calls! I really don't want a larger clunky laptop that isn't as easy to carry around (I would love to have one for the sake of video games and DVD's however... but that'll have to wait... Perhaps soon!)

Whatever suits you best, but I'd try one out in the store if I were you.  I for one can't type on them.  They keyboards are way too small for me.  If you really want it just for writing, it'd be a good idea to make sure you can actually type on it before blowing hundreds of dollars on it. :p

your advise is well taken here.

I'll certainly look into this before making my decision.

Thanks! =)

S..lo...w  d..o...w..n. :p

Comissioned work and job search first and foremost.  Everything else is secondary.  You need the first two before you can honestly keep your sanity.

I agree, those should be your first focus.  Get the commission finished as fast as you reasonably can.  It may well lead to more things later.  I hope the vocab/job search/college all goes well.  Good luck.

Hello:
I also agree, besides, a list of priorities can also help you get things done and avoid you from going crazy  .
I would never get to see a post from you saying that you exploded from so many things to do, I cannot really say this because I don't know you at all, but still, please try to not bite more than you can chew. I do know you are a smart person so I bet you'll be able to handle all of your projects :) .
