The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

What are your favorite background musics?

Basically, like the topic title says, what is your favorite background music songs to listen to from either a movie, game, show, etc... (IE: Music with no words.)

Some of mine include:

Friday the 13th Part 7 end theme:

F-Zero Mute City theme:

Final Fantasy VII Cosmo Canyon music:

Final Fantasy VIII Ragnarok (airship) theme:

You mean background music as in instrumental, no vocals. Something we play while we're surfing the web, writing our fan fiction, cruising GoF topics, etc.?

Gee, my musical tastes run from early baroque to old school R&B to post-modern jazz, even some C&W and bluegrass, maybe traditional gospel when I'm in the mood. Right now, since I'm trying to map out the rest of a big fat crossover fanfic, classical and 30's & 40's swing fit the bill since the story centers around music. I can' t give any specific titles, artists or works, but music does help make it easier to write and concentrate. :)

Personally I enjoy any kind of music that is good "fight music", or music used during fight scenes in martial arts movies. The music in the Matrix movies was so cool, as well as the music in Mortal Kombat.

Something I noticed while surfing youtube. The very first season of Power Rangers had really good fight music. The guitarist is such a talented person, and yet you don't hear anything else about him. Kind of a shame really.
