Take a look at the new LBT Server interface:

http://www.lbtserver.2myip.net

See how the file list has a glossy transparent effect and the background image stretches to fit on ALL resolutions?  I want to implement something similar on TheLandBeforeTime.org.  The question is, do people like this effect?  I'm trying to go to a more Windows 7ish theme.  My server started as a Windows 95/98 theme, then it went to a more black Windows XP theme, then it was like Vista, and now I'm transforming it into Windows 7-like.

Despite the fact that there's more eye-candy now, the new theme takes up LESS resources than its predecessor!  The same would happen if I applied a theme like this to TheLandBeforeTime.org.  But it's all about the user.  So what do you think?  Do you like the new glossy effects?

I certainly don't dislike it, so that's a yes from my side :)

Well I started applying the new affects to TheLandBeforeTime.org website, but it's not going so well.  Here's what I've got so far on the scratch website (the original website hasn't been touched):

Of course the background image would be changed.  It's of extremely low quality.  I just slapped it on there 'cuz it was the closest image I had.  But you get the general idea.  So, what do you think?

Well, it's taken a LOT of work, but I've finally got support for IE7 on the server.  As for support of IE 6.....it's not gonna happen, sorry.  There are just too many features of the server that won't work with IE6.  Heck, IE6 won't even display the transparent file list.

I know it doesn't work with Firefox 2.0.  It works 100% with Firefox 3.5.  I'm going to test other versions with it.  It works with the newest versions of Chrome, Opera, and Safari.  I don't know about their older versions yet.

So yeah, design is basically done.  Now what remains to be done is the back-end stuff that you won't even realize unless you're using an old browser.
