We have talked about cliches we don't like, now let's talk about those we DO like.  You see them SO many times, but you never get tired of them.

I'll start with... The Evil Laugh.

We all know that at some point in the movie, the villain will let out an evil laugh, and it is always awesome!  I love villains and I love when they laugh.

Okay, your guy's turn. :)

Horribly mistranslated dialogue

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Terrible fight scenes that try so hard to seem intense

Excessively used cheesy one liners

Not sure if those count as "cliches," but they're hilarious.

The hero wins. I find stories where the hero loses to be absolutely pointless unless its an cautionary tale of some kind.

Villain: "Now let me stop and explain my plot to you in great detail." Stupid, yes, but some great lines and line deliveries have come out of it, especially when said blabbing villain is played by someone like Jeremy Irons or Brian Blessed.

I love when the main villain goes into excessive detail on his ultimate plan. It's always fun to listen to how they're going about doing their evil deeds.

The villain who aims to destroy the world. Why would you want to destroy the world? In retrospect, you'd also be destroying yourself. Say you destory the world, what then? You won't last long in space. I love this cliche simply based on how flawed it is.

The villain explaining their plan is good because it delves into what they're working towards in the story. Without it, I think the audience would get lost quite a bit.

Aside from that, I can't really think of any.

How about when an explosion happens and the person literally walks away or stands perfectly still near one.  Completely fake?  Sure!  Unbelievably cool?  You bet it is!

Though don't EVER try it in real life.  Trust me, an explosion is REALLY powerful, but that's what makes them SO awesome. :)
