Who's getting the game? Everyone here does realize that this is the last Halo being released by Bungie. After Reach 343 Industries will takeover the Halo series from there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/343_Industrie...cal_Business%29

Why can't they just leave Halo alone? Seriously, they're all just hyped up. There are so many better games out there that I would rather be playing. Now granted, I used to love Halo, but now I've grown out of it and I don't play it as much as I used to. Halo 2 was and always will be the best game, but since then they've degraded in quality. I'm sorry if this offends anybody, but I have no intention of getting Halo Reach, because somebody on my floor will no doubt get it. Reach should be the last game and then the series should end there. There's no reason to continue Master Chief's storyline.

Reach is a prequel to the events of the first Halo game. Master Chief probably doesn't appear at all so the player takes the role of another character.

I know it's a prequel, but I'm referring to the new studio that is supposed to be taking over Halo after Bungie. Reach should be the last Halo game period. There is no need to continue if it ties the storyline of the original trilogy together.

I wouldn't count on it. Despite Bungie is giving up the development plans, they are remaining property of Microsoft (from what I heard). I doubt PS3 players will be seeing any Halo titles without MS slapping a lawsuit in between first...

Because it's a multi million dollar making franchise that XBox cannot make profit without. Think Tetris for Gameboy or Mario for NES.

Basically what he said. It's kind of like what happened with Pokemon they weren't suppose to last this long, but overwhelming popularity due to the games, movies, and the anime all played a significant role as to why Pokemon is still here. The Halo series is basically doing the same except there is no movie yet.
