The beloved Scriptwriter and Songwriter of The Land Before Time Movies and TV Series died 6 days ago.

I admit that I rarely research much behind the makers of a movie (so I too had no idea of his death) but Tony Geiss of course is a name that I always found very prominent in the line "Based on characters by Judy Freudberg & Tony Geiss". Along with Stu Krieger the two are probably credited more than anyone else to inventing the land before time with Don Bluth being the one mainly in charge for presenting it.
This is my tribute to Tony Geiss, one of the real makers of the land before time has moved on to what to us remains a Mysterious Beyond for the time being.

I know no more about Tony Geiss than what Malte described above, but I definitely agree that we LBT fans owe a lot to him.
