Dinosaucers

I managed to get hold of all 65 epsiodes of a very old cartoon called Dinosaucers. On DVD. and someone made this, I paid £20 and worth every penny for it. I am amazed to see such a old program. this is amazing one and been giving me some ideas for a rpg.

the Dinosaucers fight the Tyrannos both sides coming from a planet called Reptilon a planet that share the same orbit with Earth but on the other side of the sun. Earth not knowing about it. I am not sure what year the Earth is based on but they have created the ION drive, have the CD player on this 1987 show and have a crystal mining operation at the coast of LA on a mining sea platform like oil ones. mining a crystal called Dinotrun a very powerful piece of rock and worth billions in US $ base on the film of course

the two sides from Reptilon are evolved dinosaurs. both sides made bases near each other. Dinosaucers at Lava Dome IV and the Tyrannos at Tar-Pits II not sure where abouts in North America but I think it at the southern tip of Alaska. next to Canada at the west part. they have their little battles and each time the DInosaucers beating them but each one I watched a few days now been fun and been rewatching them

I heard of that show!

I've been looking through the websites to find some decent clips for over a year now. And no luck. o_O

I've managed to get hold of them all. on 6 discs. all but one episode which has a bit of a very low sound other then that it was great to watch and been watching them again. kind of cool to watch.

I heard of Dinosaucers a couple years back. I've tried to find clips for a while, but eventually gave up. ^^;

I remember that show. Pretty fun watch, they were. Odd, I didn't think the series had lasted long enough to have 65 episodes. Wasn't it a one season wonder?

Maybe they were one of those shows that told two stories in a half hour block. Much like those shows animated shows on Cartoon Network or Nick. Would each ten minute story be classified as an individual episode?

I thought they were 30 stories for 30 min episodes. I could be wrong though.

Well, I could be wrong, too. There were A LOT of shows like "Dinosaucers" in the 80s. "Dino Flyers" being one of them.

the dino flyer I think your talking about is Terrible Dactyl. an evolved Pteranodon.

Hmm. One story in a half hour block. That explains why it was poorly animated.

Because they could have been rushing eps along every 3 days to a week.

poorly.... not funny at all. the animation is good for a 1987 show. don't know what you mean by that... but when the Land Before Time series start there could be a 30 min story to each.

there many of that sort. I enjoyed watching all 65 epsiodes of Dinosaurces. for what cartoons are in 1980s it is cool

Well, what I mean is that sometimes characters looked a little deformed and distorted. I've seen screenshots from different eps and sometimes things looked a little thrown together and rushed. I was just pointing that out. You don't have to bite my head off.

In my opinion it does seem like a cool show too. Despite the several animation glitches, I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

For a minute there I was dyslexic and read "Dinosaurs" so I was ready to hear a slam of quotes like "I'm the baby! Gotta love me!"

Then I realized you weren't talking about the dinosaur sitcom made by Disney.

I looked at the article, and its the first I've heard of this show. Most 80s animation was made rather rapidly and plus they did not receive really huge budgets, so yeah, the animation is not up to some of the Disney stuff out at the same time simply because it was a small studio. I think Dic also worked with the Care Bears.

And Super Ted I believe. But Dinosaucers I like now as much as Land Before Time, with something like that I am sure there is a possible chance of even making a story that crossed with LBT or even a RPG.

I enjoyed watching all 65 epsiodes.

Cyberlizard, you seriously need to take a look at how bad a lot of the animation graphics for 80s cartoons were as compared to what we can do now.

They didn't have computers to fix animation glitches. They only had pencils, pens, crayons, paint, and paper. Make a mistake, and they'd have to halt production to fix it, which they often didn't have the time or budget to do. Thqat is why so many of the 80s animated series featured blaring continuity errors.

Although I have to say I actually prefer 80s and early-mid 90s animation to the garbage we typically make these days. Its too stylized now. I'm a fan of "keep it simple"!

the way its down in dinosauers was amazingly good and from what I know of I seen some of these on cartoon network around a few years ago over my neighbours and now I find out it was aired 2 years ago! a rerun of all 65. how about that for a 1987 cartoon? it appears over and over ago

Hmm two years ago? I didn't know that.

All I knew was it ran from 1987 to 1988 on ABC and then again from 1993 to 1994 on the USA channel.

Though I think I did see it in the 1999 Cartoon Network Toonami lineup. But yeah, WR. I do like 90s animation too.

it still reran on Nickelodeon in 1995 to 2000 and on Cartoon Network in 2000 to 2004.
