yep, that's the one. johnson advertised his plays with great abandon, thusly we know more about him than any other playright of that era, even Shakespeare.

(Next question)
He lived earlier than Shakespeare. In his most famous writing you'll read about a large group of very different people pilgrimaging to a shrine in south-east England. Whom am I talking of?

This sounds like the Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer.

That's perfectly right Stitch! Chaucer is the one I was looking for. Good going; your turn! :)

Okay, here goes

She wrote a series of 9 books for children and several more for older people.  You could probably trace the "Rescue Rangers" all the way back to her.  Who is she?

I think I better give you guys a hint.

The director of the first LBT movie worked on the film adaptation of the childrens series early in his career.

Another Disney type question that I hope to make easier by giving hints.

I am one of Walt Disney's famed "Nine Old Men".  I share my surname with US Presidents and my first with a popular black and white tv show.  (extra pat on the back if you get the tv show as well :D )

Good job.  I was actually looking for Margery Sharp, the author of the nine Miss Bianca stories.  I'll just let this question go.

Good job.  I was actually looking for Margery Sharp, the author of the nine Miss Bianca stories.  I'll just let this question go.
You know, I had to rush to a class, and on the way I realized I was supposed to be looking for a person, not a film.    I saw Nick put "Watership Down" and that's a film or book, so I just put the correct film.

Also, my person post was invalid because I made an incorrect point in it; part of it is correct, the other half isn't so here is the revised question:

I am one of Walt Disney's famed "Nine Old Men"--the best hand drawn animators.  My surname sounds much like the last name of two US presidents with the same last name (no relation).  I share my first name with the character of a popular black and white tv show (where the character's name was in the title).

(It shouldn't take long to guess which of the nine I'm after....I would suspect most could come close to his last name at least. ;) )
