The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Who am I?

Nope. Bering was the guys name, the Bering Sea is named after him, and the land bridge that once connected the asian and North American continents is called Beringia.

But he was NOT a Russian! This is why I did not name Bering after asking whether we are looking for a Russian. Bering worked for the czar, but he was a Dane.

My body was brought home in a barrel of whiskey to slow decomposition. What was left of my body that is. I lost my eye and one arm on earlyer occassions. But at least I was on Victory.

Is it possible that you are thinking of a character from the bible...? No, the one I have in mind actually DID find the boy-king (to be).
There are also examples from Greek sagas, but in anyone I can think of the character at least met the boy-king (e.g. Odysseus / Ulisses who found a way to discover the young Achillieus who had been disguised as a girl hidden among many other girls).
It would be helpful to have a little more hints Nick.

this boy king was found in the 1920's. That should be a good hint.
