I really need to start giving feedback.

Strut, I just want you to know that I always truly enjoy looking at your artwork. It has inspired me to get off my butt and do my own stuff a few times. I love the brightness and the colours you use; it's really eye-catching.

Anyway, I'm going to leave a comment on your latest piece. First thing, I love how the sunset has been done. I know how hard it can be to get it right. I have tried painting sunsets onto a canvas a couple of times now as well as on GIMP. Let's just say that the ones on the canvas were slightly better.

Secondly, I love the shading on Seizon! One thing I tend to notice on people's artwork (including my own

) is that they haven't really got the light source and shading done quite right, but this looks very well done.

Also, I really love your style, as well as some of the ideas you have come up with. The second picture that you did for Pterano's birthday is really unique and I love how you did it.

Heh I guess you know where I'm coming form, using GIMP and all. Funny, the program tends to give objects a sort of unnatural luster for highlighting - at least in my experience XDD

I think you got her very well, her face looks almost as if this was a photo. The eyes are a little too big but, to be honest, it looks better than small eyes so no critism at all. I'm also quite impressed of how detailed you worked. The dress she's wearing is awesome (no critism but a suggestion: next time try to make clothes not too simple, add some more details and it'll be perfect! If you are able to do this, that is of course

Lol I use anime eyes for my people (and non-people, too), so that's the deal with her eyes
I did not use a reference - I had used solid colors to indicate her position and then added the detail in later.
Oh I was scared to add clothing detail

but maybe I'll do that eventually

Awesome! You work extremely detailed and the expression of the character (haven't heard of Ferngully until now) is done with skill

Though I do prefer LBT art, I must stress that a good artist is able to draw a wide variation of things and not just always the same just in different poses etc.

Wow, I've been away for a while, huh? Well, lately, I've been getting caught up in certain RP's over yonder, so that's been eating up most of my time, and I've been clearing up reference checks and background info for a new job, so....
