Prologue

All was quiet. No sound. The darkened landscape serene, peaceful. Or was it really like this. Suddenly, there was a massive stomping that could be heard. The little light the moon provided revealed a massive T-rex.

50 feet long, 20 feet tall, 7 tons of killer dinosaur. The huge monster's white teeth gleamed like swords in the moonlight. His red eyes burning through the darkness. His dark blue skin and white underbelly were exaggerated by the moonlight, making him look black and grey.

The carnivore turned his head as he heard more stomping. A much smaller tyrannosaur walked up behind him. It was a female. She was only 36 feet long and 13 feet tall, much smaller then the large male beside her.

Normally, a tyrannosaur this small would never approach another one that was far bigger. But this was an exception. This female was his mate. Unlike the male, the female had light green skin, and soft, kind baby blue eyes.

It was a wonder two sharpteeth so different in appearance and size would become mates. But then again Chomper, the male, was not normal. Neither was his mate, Tyranna. Infact, she was still a hatchling when he found her as a pre-teen.

He was only the size of a fast-biter at that time, but still, he pitied the hatchling, she was an orphan, abandoned, left for dead. He took her under his wing, and by the time she was a young adult, he was over 30 feet long, while she just 20.

However, this actually was an advantage. Tyranna was very fast, and often chased prey towards Chomper, who would lunge out and overpower the prey, this was something they used to deadly effect.

Unfortunatley, Tyranna couldn't join him on hunts anymore, because she was heavily pregnant, and could not risk the eggs. This somewhat lowered their success rate, but still, Chomper found enough food to feed both, and soon, they would have to feed their hatchlings.

Their territory was roughly 40 miles from the Great Valley, and in a fertile, lush floodplain, with a forest to the east, and a mountain range to the north.

This was the perfect place for there home. But would it stay like this?
