Makoto grinned, reaching down to the side of the bed, picking up a long katana.
"I agree with you on that, though the rifle does have it's merits."
He chuckled.
"Besides, didn't you notice the bayonet? This baby's just about a sword in itself."
He added, grinning.

Once at the library Daniel went to the fiction area to look over what sorts of books they had in the area. He didn't find all the non fiction or science areas interesting, but he may look those over later on, perhaps.

"For the sake of guidance, I tried going it alone, it did not work out well." James replied. "And I feel I need to better control my powers."

Makoto chuckled and shook his head.
"Well, at the least you ended up here of your own volition. I know quite a few who were placed here because their powers were wild and uncontrolable, ended up hurting people."
He said grimly...

He smirked, pulling out something that resembled a pipe and taking a long draw from it...

Swift chuckled. "True indeed." He then unpacked a few of his books. Well, a few was a bit of an understatement.

Daniel looked over the sorts of subjects he'd be in once his classes started and went to one of the sections to pick out a book to read something interesting along the area similar to the subject. He wondered what some of the other students were like. He'd know about that soon enough, he thought to himself. He hoped he'd get along with at least some of them.
