Strafe awoke early and looked to te east, seeing the very faint rays of light beightening the eastern sky. It seemed that she hadn't slept lon enough but there was no point in trying to return to sleep. There was just no time. The iguanodon got to her feet and looked around to see if anyone else was awake. It appeared that Strafe was the only one awake until she spotted Snork tearing up a shrub to make it easier to eat.
Good morning, Strafe. Sleep alright?"
The iguanodon nodded and Snork added, "We have a guest you should meet."
The swimmer pointed to Dante and said, "We should introduce ourselves once he wakes up."
"He's a sharptooth" whispered Strafe.
Snork replied, "I don't think he is dangerous. He seemed prety friendly. Here, eat something while you have a chance."
Snork placed a piece of the shrub in front of Strafe and she quickly went to work on it.
Strafe's life had changed so suddenly. Two weeks earlier she had been with a kind, loving family and now she was traveling to the Great Valley with some dinosaurs she hardly even knew. Of course, she would have to get use to it on this journey.
