The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

My Lion King 3 idea.

It wouldn't involve lions as the bad guys, except Kovu, sort of, who turns on Simba for a bit after getting too many "Avenge me!" from a cloud version of Scar.

The bad guys are actually three you'd recognize from the first movie.  The hardest part though is coming up with an idea to get them to undermine the Lion leadership of the Pride Lands and throw out long centuries of tradition of lion rule and try and get another species to hold the chips.

I think the best bet for them would be to play innocent and claim to be Scar's victims just like the others.   Anyway, the three secondary antagonists from film 1 are the primary ones here.  Also, there will be two hornbill villains who happen to be the two bad apple members of Zazu's family that Zazu mentioned casually in the first film.  They'd know a lot about Pride Rock and turn out not to be fond of Simba and Nala and so would be itching to throw them out and can Zazu as the Chief Advisor and take that role for themselves.

Anyway, here's what I got so far for "The Lion King 3:  Return of the Hyenas"

Shenzi hyena sat with her mate Banzai. They often didn't have food again. Scar had double-crossed them. He had promised them food and then had called them the enemy when his murderous scheme was exposed. They had dealt with Scar. However, there was still his heir, Kovu. Also, there was Mufasa's heir too: Simba, the new King of Pride Rock and Queen Nala. The two had almost gotten the brats when they were kids and would have gotten them had not Mufasa showed up.

"Shenzi, I'm starving!" said Ed. "Can it before I can it for you!" said Shenzi. "Can the food? I've got no food!" said Ed, laughing at his own joke. Shenzi groaned.

The Pride Lands had gone through another war and Scar's Pride and Simba's Pride had united after Zira's death. Things seemed great again. And the little brats Simba and Nala had had another cub. Things looked bad for getting revenge.

However, they knew that the infighting between the royal families had made some mistrust lions. Namely the jackals, the desert cobras, and some hornbills. It was little secret that two relatives of Zazu's didn't like the new King and Queen. And, as Zazu had pity on them, he'd talked the King and Queen out of banishing them.

"Yeah, it's too bad we can't get them to help us." said Banzai, voicing what had crossed her mind. "Yes, they'd probably help us topple the lions. After all, everyone will blame Scar for the overhunting. It was his orders! Heck, they could even blame him for Mufasa's death too. Scar never mentioned our role in it. He blamed us as the enemy yet he said that he'd done it! Everyone heard." said Ed.

"What did you just say?" said Shenzi, her eyes lighting up. "I said that they'd blame Scar for all their troubles. That, and those crazy lions were making such a mess of things with all of their fighting. The monarchy has never been so unstable! Those two hornbills would know a good deal of the goings on in Pride Rock leadership and hate the little cub brats. But, what do I know?" said Ed. "Hey, can you get us some food, I'm starving!" said Ed.

Shenzi thought. A scheme crossed her mind. Scar himself had called them the enemy, yet nobody knew they had a role in Mufasa's death. It would appear to all that Scar had been the sole actor and that the stampede had been Simba's doing, albeit by accident. They could use this to sow discord. They could strike at the very heart of the monarchy. She and Ed could be King and Queen of the Pride Lands.

Shenzi may have looked dumb, but she was actually quite bright. And she'd just hatched a very deadly scheme that could have dire implications for the Pride Lands.

- The hardest part is getting this to make sense.  Especially as the three are presented as not too bright in the original film, though, to her credit, Shenzi does seem the brains of the operation and so her as the ringleader could be plausible.

Another downside of this is that the three, especially Shenzi, are so well loved, that, by making them the primary bad guys, well, you know what happens to primary villains in the Lion King movies!   :o

There IS a The Lion King 3. Though for some reason they call it The Lion King 1? in America.

In Australia we call it The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata both are the same movie and both are confirmed  to be the 3rd movie in The Lion King Trilogy.

This is a nice idea, but really it would be The Lion King 4 and then it wouldn't be a trilogy anymor . :lol

This could make a nice fanfic though

The Lion King 1 1/2 is the original title. I guess the title got changed elsewhere. It's called that because it's a midquel. So there is actually no Lion King 3, at least not officially in America. The idea that LittlefootAndAliTogether would indeed be The Lion King 3, not 4. At least in America.

The more and more I look at it, Shenzi, who is sort of the primary antagonist of Lion King 1 1/2, could return for a Lion King 3 (or 4 for those who like to harp) as another round of being the bad guy.

This time, she'd be enemies of both Simba and Kovu.
