Longtail responded almost immediatly "No, I need someone to talk to right now....after hearing Ali lose her mother, I don't....I just don't know what to do....I keep seeing my own mothers demise, and it's scaring me alot.."

Longtail then looked up at the water falling down into the stream and just sighed...

Soon the two fast runners walk with Chomper they keeping behind him till he walk out to the open both stopped in their tracks towards the falls. He turned around looking at them. "Sorry but me and Swifty don't want to take a chance with the adults"

"My sister Leafty got a point... we been told that the last leaf eater that mistaken one of our kind for a fast biter got.... well... you can guess..." Swifty said and both look quite uncomfertable.

Longtail saw Chomper walk out of the bushes, and saw him talking to someone else... 'He must be talking to the fast-runners....but Littlefoot dosen't know about them....well this could get intresting!' thought Longtail to himself

He wiped the tears from his eyes and yelled "Hey Chomper over here!"

Longtail looked back and said "I just finished talking to her...." he paused before he spoke again "She seemed so lost, and her eyes.....they had almost no feeling at all...almost like she'd just given up."

Then he added at a whisper "I know exactly what she feels like right now..."

As Do I' Littlefoot replied. "Tell me about yourself..and tell me your name... So That I know who you are.. As for Ali, This has been really tough on her.. I lost my mother in a similar instance, at leaat I had my grandparents to care for me, she has no one.."

Longtail didn't want to admit it, but he was conflicted...he just didn't know what to do or how to act right now....

The two fastrunners kept to the bush line treed area just out of sight hearing it they still had their mother but their father they never really liked to think about it cause it was part of the Great Valley Dinosaurs fault for his death. A mistaken look cause them to think he was a fast biter and chased him to the edge of a cliff where they heard from their mother the leader of the Fast Runner herd.

"Even if they and their parents wasn't involded in it, we can't trust the adults... if they mistaken us... it could happen again" Swifty whispers sadly under his breath.

"I know... it hard to believe one mistaken look would end in such a horrible way... maybe that why our mother asked as to come and see cause we the fastest to get away from such a thing" Leafty whispers back sadly as well. They was quite scared to go in the open of the Great Valley only knowing some sort of fate could happen like their Father which they heard about. They both then turn back to looking at Chomper in the clearing and the water edge near the Thundering Falls.

Longtail thought for a moment about Littlefoot's questions...and he decided to answer them slowly one at a time:

"I'm taking care of myself...I've been alone for most of my child-hood in the Mysterious Beyond...I've never had anyone else..." and then he tought about the question about his father....

"I never knew my father....although if I had to guess I'd bet he wouildn't be a flyer, that's for sure." He didn't try to hide how upset he really was....

Chomper walked over to Littlefoot and Longtail. "Yeah" Chomper asked. He turned to Littlefoot."Have you seen Rhett? I'm really worried about him Littlefoot. He ran off to go somewhere after hearing what happened to Ali. He's taking it real hard. " Chomper said getting real worried about Rhett.

"We could take this chance to disappear" Swifty suggested

"That would be a good idea" Leafty whispers back

"But... mother did tell us to keep a eye on the longneck named Ali" Swifty sighs

"Yeah that true we better stay for now" Leafty nods looking just to the view of seeing the others.

Leafty and Swifty looked at Littlefoot then they kept just out of sight "But how do we work it if we been spotted" Swifty was now thinking about it.

Leafty stepped on a trig then it snapped the sound was loud enough to be heard by them "Opps" Leafty saw her brother just shake his head in defeat, they was really not doing a good job keeping hidden.

Longtail looked over hearing the twig snapping, but didn't move, actually thinking about Chomper's question....then he got an idea, and he knew it would involve getting the two fast-runners to show themselfs....

"Hey, fast-runners you guys can come out now...it's okay, we need your help!"

"Are you crazy!" Leafty called out "If any adults see us they most likely mistaken us for fast biters!"

"No matter how insulting that is to us it very much our fear. we rather stay put then go in the open and be chased" Swifty called out as well.

"So We staying put" both said at once.

Longtail took a deep breath to calim himself down, then stood up and said:

"Look you two, I don't mean to sound angry, but Chomper needs your help...and besides if the grown-ups even breath the wrong at you...I will personally step in, and protect both of you....and I've fought sharpteeth bigger than me!"

Longtail allowed himself time to take another breath and finished by saying "So stop worrying...will you?!"

"This isn't very conferting..." Swifty nervously move into the open with Leafty both looking around for any adults near by they was almost scared out of thier minds.

"I don't really like this..." Leafty said with concern and they came to a stop.

"Better tell you my name... Swifty..." Swifty try to keep calm but both was scared about being in the open.

"Mine... i-is Leafty" Leafty stuttered a little both now very jumpy about being in the open since they had known personally that their own father was chased off a cliff because other adults in the Great Valley before the time of the Great Earthshake from what their own mother told them and saw when younger.

"Holfd on' Littlefoot said, stopping them.."You can't just walk into the middle of the Great Valley like this, othewise they will run you out..." His eyes narrowed "Why are you even here anyway? If it concerns Ali, you'd best stay away from her, she has enough on her plate at the moment!" Littlefoot's voice carried a cold undertone to it.. and the others around him could not supress a shudder.
