I daresay that Petrie, Action9000, Littlefoot-1616, Nick22, and I are not that bad. The very fact that we permit ourselves being accused of tendencies to these ideologies goes to show that censorship in this board is not exactly oppressive as far as the regular members are concerned.

I totally agree.  You are all very nice and a pleasure to be around.  Of course, I haven't been here too long so I can't say for sure but my opinion of all the admins here is very good.  From what I've seen, you are all the nicest people I have ever known.

 

In my opinoin, limiting one's thoughts, speech, actions, or freedoms is socialism.

So what do you want the admins to do next time there's a spammer or a troller  here?  Just allow it to continue?  This is a board.  It is essentially the property of Petire.  You have the right to tell someone to get off your property or to prevent them from cutting down your trees or burning your house down.  This site must be looked at in the same way.  I could not disagree with you more on this issue.

I'm pretty sure this topic has run its course.  The only thing I have left to add is if members haven't already, read the rules of the GOF.  These have been here in this context for two years now with no updates...its not like we made this stuff up on the spur of the moment.  We haven't really had to enforce them until now, but they still exist and are in effect.

Well, having problems with rule enforcement is usually what inevitably happens when a community gets more members.  I guess it's a price we'll all have to pay.

Yes, but it is still possible for the admin to be laid back and nice as apposed to very strict, or very nasty.  Those are different styles and methods.

Oh, it's a year old thread, maybe if I looked at dates in the posts I'd know I was reading, wondering what rant spree was being mentioned, but then I don't frequent the After Midnight either so I could miss stuff.

On the note of good Admins though from what I've read here and when the rules were changed and just seen through...everywhere on the thread, this group does have some of the better and fairer Mods I've seen, and no I'm not just blowing sunshine at ya

I mean that, as a nervous newbie (if the term still fits, I think it does) worried about breaking rules and such without meaning to, as I probably reflected when I introduced myself, I've relaxed a bit as I realize I won't be barbecued for a trip that's unintentional and the management above my heads more than livable with Keep up the good work guys, since I know moding is a thankless and payless job...ok maybe not thankless but unless I'm naive (which I am, but hopefully not here) it is the second, so Kudos
