The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

LBT Icons!

Sure.  It's not hard, just time consuming and the programs are very expensive.  I never considered Ruby.  I guess I will!

okay.  1 Spike icon as requested.  I'm working on the ones of Ruby and Chomper now.  Anyway, here's Spike:

Okay.  Here's Ruby.  It is far from perfect and I didn't do the best job on her.  I couldn't find a full body shot no matter how hard I tried.  She was always too far away.  Oh well.  Here she is:

Note:  even if it looks really bad full sized, it looks a lot better when you set it as an icon.

Okay.  I put all of my icons into an archive that you can dowload now.  It contains 9 icons.  I don't know if I have them all posted here or not.  Oh well.  The archive is only 432k.  That's less than 1mb.  Here they are:

Austin's Icons

Those are quite nice, and I never realized how hard it was to make such things.

It's mostly hard on my computer. :p It's just time consuming for me.  BTW, if I'm encoding an icon, it takes 3 minutes just to load GOF.  The computer basically freezes until it's done.  I hope I will be able to make more of them.  I'll just have to find some other screenshots.

the falling Littlefoot one (forgot to quote)

If I recall, you can also make an icon by saving a BMP file, then changing the extension to .ico, because I think I made a couple images like that, works with .cur and .ani too (cursor files/animated cursor files)

I am using bgcolor remover, pic2ico, paint, and photoshop to create these images.  I also use a form of compression so I can have these icons in 24 bit.  That's why they look a lot better than the other set that's floating around the internet.

I also have to have the lbt videos and vlc media player to make the snapshots.  I also use right click image converter to turn the png's into jpegs.

I made a new one.  My computer's really slowing down from making these things.  I'm trying something new.  I'm doing a direct dowload link so tell me if it doesn't work.

I didn't like the one of Cera I had so I created a new one.  This one is her whole body, not just her head.

What do you think of me making icons from other, less popular charaters?  Like the sharpteeth and other "bad guys"?

Well, I've been neglecting this project. :(

Good news though.  I found a better way to make icons.  They look much better now!  I've made a new one!

Here's how the icon looks on my desktop:

It doesn't look too good on mine.  It was a lot better on my old desktop.

NEW ICON!  It's another Littlefoot one:

NOTE:  my icons are set to an abnormally small size so I can fit a lot of them on the desktop.  Default size is 32 and mine are set on 20 so there's a big difference.

I've learned a lot about image transparancy and acquired more programs since I originally created these icons.  I have a new download zip file with all of my icons.  Here are all the icons I have done as of yet:

NOTE:  they really arn't fuzzy.  I just compressed the jpeg you're seeing.

Download link(to download them all at once):

I have optimized these even further.  They are now of higher quality, but they use less windows resources and they take up less space.

http://www.driveway.com/oklye46983

The download includes 15 different icons and the 3 animated cursors I made (Why bother to take them out?  They're only 13k).  The entire download size is about 100k. :D
