It all depends on if the Nintendo Wii can connect to the internet on dial-up, since the Wii (when I actually get one) will only be in one of two places, neither of which are anywhere close to an alternative internet connection other than dial-up.
Hmm... if I used it on dial-up, would I still be able to battle with 3 other players, or are there certain limitations, like I can only battle with 1 other, or someone else on dial-up?
I don't think dial up is fast enough to handle three simultaneous connections like that, at least definitely not in real time. You really are going to need broadband for it to work properly. Maybe one on one you *might* be able to get away with, but not more. Its a limitation of data transfer that will bite in the end.
I do have a broadband connection, but I'm not sure what my parents would think of me pulling something like that on them. I guess I would need a router setup? And could I use dial-up to do basic stuff like surf the net or download firmware and stuff?
