There is a homicidal chef there, and he goes on a killing spree. He begins shooting randomly, and both Murray and the cop get shot.

However, not only are the wounds non-fatal, but the resturant is full of cops, and they all shoot the chef in self-defense.

The chef, out of desperation, throws his carving knife at the off-duty cop, but instead hits Murray.

But the knife lodges itself in Murray shoulder, which, whilst painful, is not fatal. The cops shoot and kill the psycho chef, and all is safe.

The terrorist opens the nuke and dumps the plutonium from the nuke on Murray for no apparent reason.

Murray's blanket was made of lead, as he had just come from the X-Ray room. The doctors proceed to get the plutonium off of Murray, and the terrorist was apprehended.

He is taken to a mental hospital with nice, padded walls to make sure he doesn't himself or people around him.
