Just one question: For your intro, you said all were going to become dinosaurs when we were transported. Is that 100% true?

Humans and humanoid creatures (like elves) would add a flair to the RP.

I think it was the final decision... because of the many awkwad and diferent things everyone was wanting to go in as.... it would had been a mess,so i decided finally to make it 100% dinosaur... we keep our intelegence and memories though

I think that I will modify my character to make it as though if an extreme emotion takes over, then he will temporarily become an elf. That is what I did with Vylor.

100% dinosaur may be best. Maybe for those who are unsure what they wish to be some can suggest some. Some bipedal types, some quadrapid types.

That would likely be a winged sharptooth. There are some since 1 captured Ducky in the fifth movie. Or a fast biter, or large sharptooth perhaps.

Maybe can't have a pure dragon in LBT since dragons didn't exist then, or at least we've not seen any in the movies. There may be some rp's where you can't be a dragon or an elf if you want to rp in the thread. I like dragons a lot but I don't try to rp as one in every rp I'm in.

That would fit, but likely would be unable to fly, breath fire, nor do spells, unless such is allowed by the gm. Personally I think dragons and LBT do not fit, elves certainly not. In most magic doesn't either, unless its an exception due to the plot, like a plot device of the wishing stone, the stone of cold fire, or the gm says it's a world where magic is real and folks can wield magic. Most pure LBT should be only the types of creatures seen in the movies & episodes as well as those which by extrapolation could exist like certain species of flyers not seen before could exist since some terosaurs do and others could likely as well. A Compsagnathus I think has not appeared yet, but it would fit logically dragons and elves would not in most cases.

As you said it depends of the GM's decisions, and it also depends of the story itself, because I've seen RPGs with magic and powerful characters and others more like the movies, like to make another adventure like the ones we can see from the tv serie and movies.
Like some things that can happen in our own world, I think some mysterious things that could happen in an RPG can be very welcome if it is done well, and can give players with more enthuasiasm to make even more stories.
But if the decision was made, and the only sobrenatural hing will be the stone itself, then I don't think that can be a problem, as the Borg Collective say "we will adapt"

I prefer, like I assume many do here, more pure types of rp like in the movies and tv series. Though some other types can be fun too, as long as its spelled out at the start so those with no interest can avoid the rp. Stuff like, this will be a pure rp with no magic or other stuff. This will be a mainly pure rp, but the stone will have magic that lets the person make a wish. The rp will be mainly pure, but it will have a gm character who is temporarily stranded who is from a star trek type of universe, with a villain. also a gm character or played by [playername] he was chasing, ect.

Though I'll likely avoid those that allow players to have magic since it's to easy for players to abuse or leave some other players feeling like they can't do anything to contribute to the rp or be useful.

That said this rp thread can be the type that some who are curious about rp may be willing to give it a try to see if they would like this sort of thing.

I think that is correct, afterall with more kinds of RPGs we can make sure which ones of them are most successful too, which ones have more people and that way we can have a basis to make new RPGs in the future with the hope of having them with a proper ending and not dead half the way.

Personally, I would like to have the abilities of either an elf or dragon in my RP character, but I will settle with appearance if I have to.

Dragons are, in just one word: amazing, great, outstanding creatures

. But as we can see, not in all of the RPGs we should be able to see what are your characters capable of.
But it may be possible to create characters or to modify the ones you already have to match the strict LBY stories, so you can still have them, maybe without their powers but still with their intellects and personalities
