Dixie began explaining the concept of a movie, clearly, they didn't have them in thier world,"Haven't you ever had stories told to you? Well , a movie is a story told on screen. you get to watch the story as it unfolds, in this world, many people go to the movies. There are mant types of films, some are better than others, there are dozens of them shown every year. " dixie said. "the only way to truly get it, is to watch it. Spyro can come along, of course, if he wants to.. or he can go see one with Scooby, and we can see a different one more to our liking.."
"Sure, go ahead" Nani said , sputting her gun away. "I'm heading in to get a drink. You guys want anything..?" She asked.

So I guess it must be a bit like the Pool of Visions, Cynder thought to herself. "I don't think it will matter much if Spyro comes, since neither of us know enough about movies to pick one we would like."

"No thanks," Nago said.

Wataru raised his arm and pulled on Tatsulot's horn. Images flashed across the slot in the dragon's back before it settled on the green image of a gun. "Bashaa Fever!"

The Bashaa Magnum was suddenly in Wataru's hand. Tatsulot slid off Wataru's wrist and attached to the barrel of the gun. He aimed at the table, green flames appearing in Tatsulot's jaws. Wataru pulled the trigger and a large green fireball shot from the gun and hit the table, exploding on contact with it. Bits of wood and other debris flew through the air.

'Well I'll simply have to pick one for you. There are several types. Horror, which usually involves lots of people dying on screen, in horrible ways. Not my cup of tea, and it would probably give you nightmares. Romance, lots od kissing scenes between boy and girl, and lots of mushy dialoggue, again you're not a mushy person. Adventure, where lot of things happen, and keeps the audience very much in thier seats. Comedy, is where people do silly stuff to each other. Think Spyro hitting sparx in the face with a pie. its supposed to make you laugh.." Dixie said, there are others, but I don't want to fill you with too much information." Dixie said.

"That horror thing does not sound like something I want to see," Cynder said. "Adventure sounds like it might be most likely to catch our attention, though we kind of get enough adventure with our own lives..."

"If you don't annoy the heck out of us.. and If Cynder says its okay" dixie replied. "THEN you can come' She looked at Cynder with a meaningful glance. Dixie had hoped this to be another of those teaching moments...but as long as Sparx behaved, she wouldn't mind him tagging along..

Rime scowled at Wataru. "Thanks for destroying our target. We might as well have bought out the Molotov Cocktails." He took aim at a rock about 150 meters out and fired off the rest of his magazine. All 5 rounds peppered the rock, sending fragments of rock spraying in all directions.

Zachary fired off his last bullet, shattering a roof tile about 100 meters out. "I'm done, we have to save the ammo for the Shurlups."

Rime and Zachary headed into the cafe.

"So how did you enjoy the practice Nani?" Zachary asked.

Strut, Dr. Zanasiu, Mr. Bigmouth, Deimos and Dr. Kerzach were cleaning their weapons.

"Hey, Nick, when are we going to go after the Shurlups?" Deimos asked.

"Oh, if anyone needs ammo, it's all in the corner." Strut asked.

"Sorry," Wataru said, glancing away.

"Hey," Kivat growled detaching from the belt and hovering over towards Rime. "You have no reason to be so grumpy. There's plenty of junk you could shoot at around here."

"Aw," Sparx sighed, knowing Cynder more then likely wouldn't let him come along.

Nago and Wataru entered the cafe, both without their armor. Tatsulot was hovering over Wataru's shoulder.

As soon as Nick announced when the Shurlup killing contest would take place, Strut put on his armor and helmet, loaded his weapon and filled his shell pouch.

"Hey, Nick. Shouldn't we mount a full on assault on the Shurlups like last night? I mean, I'm not sure if Strut and the contestants can kill enough Shurlups to significantly impact their numbers. And I've heard that they live in tunnels and we'll need to enter the tunnels to completely exterminate them." Deimos said.

"The contest isn't SUPPOSED to wipe them out, its merely to see who can kill the most over a certain amount of time, like 20 minutes' nick replied. "We're going to enter the tunnels soon enough..."

Tatsulot swooped down and scooped up a piece of fish in his mouth.

"We'll see how he behaves himself and then I'll decide if he can come," Cynder said.

"I suppose you'll want some people there to make sure the shurlups don't become a problem for the contestants?" Wataru asked.

"We'll provide backup in case things get ugly." Deimos replied.

"Deimos, we can't provide backup nor mount an assault on an empty stomach." Dr. Kerzach said. He heated up some leftover vegetable stir fry and started eating it.

Mr. Bigmouth and Zachary followed Dr. Kerzach's lead and they too started heating up some left over vegetable stir fry.

Deimos retrieved his weapon, several magazines of ammo, his armor and helmet. He put on the armor and helmet and loaded his rifle. The extra magazines were in the various pockets of his armor.

Dr. Zanasiu ate a few slices of pizza which he washed down with cold tea. He too grabbed his weapon and armor. He put his helmet and armor on and loaded his shotgun, and filled his lab coat pockets with buckshot shells.

Rime had already loaded his rifle as soon as he heard Nick mention the tunnel assault. He had several full magazines in various pockets of his Pelvanida issue vest. "Ready to go."

"Zachary, Yuri, Mr. Bigmouth, eat quickly and get your weapons ready, we're gonna kill some Shurlups soon." Dr. Zanasiu shouted.

"Hey, Nick and Nani, got your guns and ammo?" Strut asked.

"Ah, fine then," Sparx said. He didn't feel very enthuisiastic about being good so he might get a reward in the future. He was so lost in thought he almost didn't notice Dixie's last comment. "Hey, you're one to talk, Miss Doggy."

"So you heard that?' Dixie grinned evilly. "Alright Sparx, you can come, but first, you have to fetch me a ... slushie from the kitchen.. and remember, no arguing..'
