Ecco carefully watched to learn what Mim is doing. He patted his friend gently on the shoulder and said, just some more time and it is over. The moss will do its job well.

Ruby walked over to Longtail, Cyrix and Littlefoot. If I can be of any help, just let me know, she said.

Cayso smiled as he replied - "thanks for your help... I hope the feathers will not complicate things too much." - Even if the goo does indeed it's job, the moss still burns some bit, specially in his left forearm, but Cayso is now feeling better, very amazed on Mim's healing skills and the help he is receiving. But the fight is still very vivid in the kid's mind, and he is still wondering about Longtail's change in his scent during the match.

Mim continued to work, going slower and explaining each step she was doing so, hopefully, Ecco could understand what she was doing. She smiled at the compliment, "Thanks, and no the feathers are not really making it any harder, just a bit more attention to detail is all." She said as she continued to work.

Littlefoot finished putting the leaves, including the numb leaves onto Longtail and looked things over, using his mouth and the tip of his tail to adjust a few here and there. "There, I hope that is ok." He said as he looked over at Cyrix.

Cyrix smiles as he sees Littlefoot finish applying the leaves to Longtail.
He then says: "you've done well Littlefoot. All Longtail should need now is plenty of rest, and maybe some water when he wakes up."

Cyrix then sat down and tried to relax but stayed awake in case he was needed.

After a few more moments of silence it was broken by a low, but recognizable groan.
"Uhhhhh...w-what....h-happened?"

Cyrix looked over with surprise as Longtail was speaking, but had yet to open his eyes. Cyrix looked to Littlefoot and asked "would you like to tell him what's happened since he fell asleep?"

Littlefoot nodded, "I can try." He said. He then went over closer to Longtail. "Just relax, you have some leaves on you that should help the hurt to hurt less some to help with the healing and things like that. Your uncle Cyrix had to ...," Littlefoot paused for a moment hoping Longtail would not get to concerned. "... push some part of your wing back so it would be in the right place but you'll be ok now, just rest." He said in a calm voice.

Littlefoot then looked over at Ruby. "Let's help keep Longtail relaxed and get anything he may want, food, water. That should help him." Littlefoot said.

Mim continued working on Cayso working slow and explaining each step like before so Ecco could understand what she as doing, and pausing in case he had any questions. She continued till she had worked on Cayso and seemed to be finished.

Longtail still being a little disorentated from the fight and his wounds only nodded to what he heard Littlefoot saying. He then stuttered:
"Is...is Cayso...o-okay?"

Cyrix nodded and said "Yes nephew, Cayso will be just fine. Don't worry, you should be resting."

As Mim and Ecco finished working on Cayso's wounds, the Fast-bitter looked at them and tell them with a gentle voice. - "Thank you very much." - After that, Cayso stood up, very slowly and managed to walk near Longtail, then he sat down again and asked him. - "Hey... how are you doing?".

Ruby used a little bowl, which she found to to take some water from the lake and brought it to Longtail. She also picked up some fruits, which she knew are tasty and some leaves to eat. As she came back, she placed the water and the food next to Longtail. She took the water bowl and and holded it in front of Longtails mouth that he could drink it. Here, drink a bit. It is good for your healing process, she said.

Longtail put his beak to the bowl Ruby sat in front of him, but he had to drink very slowly as his neck was still swollen from the fight. After taking several small sips of water and managing to get it down his throat Longtail gave a smile as he said to Cayso:
"I...I've...certaintly...f-felt....b-better..." he then turned to Ruby and replied "Thank...you for...the w-water." He tried to take several more sips, but drank too fast and started to cough.

Cyrix gently patted his nephew on the back and replied "Slow down Longtail...you're still wounded...you shouldn't be doing anything too fast...even drinking water."

All Longtail could do was nod his head in reply.

Mim nodded showing concern on her face, "You both have to remember to do things slowly while you are healing." She said looking at Longtail then Cayso. "But at least you are both better now and will soon be well and back to normal." She said.

"Yea, you both should take it easy." Littlefoot said.

"Thanks for the concern, but I don't think I'll move again for a bit..." - Cayso smiled as he replied, he then began looking at how the leaves and moss were placed on his and Longtail's bodies, almost as a kind of bandage - "...I am still amazed you were all so fast to find all these healing plants, specially the numbing ones since they are very... scarce where I live." - Cayso saw the faces of everyone there, he didn't want to say more since plants can be scarce in the Mysterious Beyond, then wounds like the ones Longtail has can be very very painful, until they can heal properly.

Ruby laid down one hand on Longtails neck. Oh, it¥s hot, she said surprised. I think I know a good method to speed up the healing process with your neck. My parents used this method sometimes as my neck hurted. They floated my neck with warm water and it was good. Maybe it would help in his situation, too.

Cyrix nodded in reply to Ruby's suggestion and said:
"That's a wonderful idea Ruby, we shouldn't be too far from a hot-spring if my memory is right." He then looked down to Longtail and said "But I don't want to risk moving him for fear of making his wounds worse then they already are. So what do we do?"

Mim nodded to what Ruby said smiling a bit. "Good idea indeed Ruby. We can wait till his wounds have healed a bit before moving to the hotsprings, and they may help some of Cayso's healing also. We also can try to bring some water here but it will likely cool pretty quickly before long once it is removed from the hot springs. Another way is to try to make a type of travel nest, very carefully put him into it and as carefully take him to the hot springs."

"2 footers can help to make that and the larger of us can help to carry the travel nest." Littlefoot said. "My friends and I did something like that, making a type of travel nest, when we brought Chomper's egg into the valley, thinking it was the egg they had stolen from Ducky's parent's nest." Littlefoot said remembering the incident. Then more quietly to mainly himself, but loud enough that others could hear he said, "But when we got to Ducky's parent's nest the egg had already gotten back. We saw those egg eaters take it, but how did it get back?" Littlefoot said while briefly looking in the direction of where Ducky's parent's nest was.

"Maybe that is one of the mysteries of the world." Mim said smiling a bit as she looked at Littlefoot.

"Yea. I guess." Littlefoot said not sure about such things.

"Do the rest of you have any ideas?" Mim asked looking at the various folks present.

"I am fine Ecco, thank you. I just need to rest here for a bit." - Cayso smiled at Ecco, he then turned his sight to see the others. - "The travelling nest sounds like a good idea, that way we can all move Longtail to the hot-spring you all mention with minimal danger."

Indeed. I agree with Cayso there, Ruby said. So, let¥s find some sticks and build a travelling nest for Cyrixs nephew.
