Mim meanwhile had gone off to start to collect some healing leaves for the 2 injured folks, and some fallen branches to help hold the leaves down when she got back so the wind, if any came up, would not blow them away.

well... alright, you convinced me. A bit relaxing should not be amiss, he said while walking over to the hot springs. Ecco first tested the water for it¥s temperature. Indeed, it is warm. He then slowly got in and felt tired immediately. You two were right. I could dream away from one to the other moment he said and smiled.

Ruby decided not to come into the water. She prefered it to run abit. She always did that with her family. It makes her strong and selfconfident.

After falling asleep holding his nephew, Cyrix was startled awake when he heard something familiar followed by a splash of water. He looked down to see Longtail swimming in a circle, it was slow moving, but he was indeed swimming on his own.

Longtail then turned to his uncle and smiled as he said with a bit coarse and raspy voice: "H-hi....uncle...C-Cyrix...how...are you?"

Cyrix could only smile in return at his nephew.

Cayso smiled as he saw Longtail awake and swimming on his own too - "You got us all worried for a bit Longtail. Just not overdo it." - He then looked at Ecco - "It is the first time I saw you hesitating about entering the water. Nice you changed your mind."

Mim returned holding a lot of leaves of a few different types. She had tried to get more then needed for the 2 injured folks. She laid these down and put some fallen branches on top of them so if there was any wind hopefully the branches & leaves on the branches would keep the healing leaves in place. She looked at what the others were doing.

"Yes, good time to relax. Is the warm water helping the wounds?" She asked as she started to enter the water to relax and enjoy it a bit herself.

I already do, Ecco said with a relaxed voice. He then closed his eyes and dreamed away a bit.

Cayso heard what Mim said "To come here was a great idea Mim, this water really helps!, I haven't feel this relaxed in quite a long time." - Cayso closed his eyes for a bit.

Ruby now came back from her running trip and faced Mim with the leaves. Thats a good idea, Ruby said

Cayso saw both Ruby and Mim. - "Where have you been Ruby?. Will you and Mim enter the water?" - the Fast-bitter asked with a big grin, really enjoying to be where he is now.

Mim looked at Ruby, "I think the leaves can wait till later. That is why I weighted them down with some fallen branches I found, so the wind won't blow them away, and the leaves on the branches may be a nice snack for a few. I think once we all get out of the water I'll need help putting on the leaves. I think I"ll rest in the water for a while." Mim said. "Thanks for your offer of help." Mim said smiling to Ruby. She walked farther into the water, deep enough so she could relax in the water and have most of her body covered.

Longtail smiled and opened his beak to reply to Cayso, but Cyrix gently closed his beak and said to his nephew, "Rest Longtail, you can tell us what you want later. Just let the water make you feel better."

The young flyer smiled and nodded his head at his uncle. He then stopped swimming and sat down in the water letting it rise up to his chin. He closed his eyes as he tried to relax.

Ruby swam over to Longtail. Would you mind if I examine your neck for the swallow, Ruby asked. I just want to see if everything is alright. Just nod or don¥t, she said and smiled softly at him.

Cayso looked at Longtail and smiled, after he saw Ruby going to check on him he closed his eyes again, but then he just kept on remembering what Cyrix said about Greyclaw and Longtail's island, Cayso began thinking - "I still cannot understand why would Greyclaw attack the island... Longtail's mother was only trying to save her hatchling but... he didn't want them to escape, why?" - Cayso frowned while thinking, and then a memory came that shook him:
When he found his father long ago, he said - "I still have pending matters to attend. Maybe you'll have to help me take care of them." - That last memory made Cayso to loose his balance and sank completely into the water, after a second he came out jumping into the shore very astonished, almost frightened.

Mim looked over at Cayso with concern, "Are you ok?" She asked once she saw him come up, having taken a step in his direction once she saw him sink..

Longtail smiled at Ruby's kindness and nodded his head as he stood up and held his neck out and stood as still as he could, while in the warm, relaxing waters.

Cyrix simply watched as Ruby examined Longtails swollen neck. He nodded his head as he reassured himself that Ruby knew what she was doing, she was very smart for her age after all.
