Because it sounds so similar to the German "da hast du recht". There are also many words very similar in Dutch and German so they can often be guessed.
Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch, English, German are all so called "Indo-European" languages of the Germanic group. Other Indo-European languages include French, Spanish, Italian, and Portugese, but they are of the Romance family (with somewhat stronger Latin roots). There are many similar words in our languages and most languages also borrowed words from other languages.
For example the English word "gauntlet" is derived from an old Swedish term and the term "ski" (used in English and in German) is of Norwegian origin.
"Yacht" (also used in both languages) is of Dutch origin I think.
"Kindergarten" (literally "children garden") is a German word adopted into the English language.
The other way round the list of English words in the German language can hardly be counted. The English term "telephone" for example ousted the awkward German term "Fernsprecher" (literally "far talker").

Hah there are quite some similairities between dutch and norwegian language if i listen to the movies. anyways. Dutch and german are very alike... But I think all languages are in some way related to eachother. as the word computer is being used in a lot of countries, because it is something 'new' and given the name computer. (but of course the french want to call it ordinateur) More and more inventions are being made over time, and because we are all so lazy we just take the word from another country and, if needed, change the pronounciation.

But that's what malte said anyways.

Reviving a very old topic.

Anyway, I just got some Japanese fonts for my laptop. They were pretty hard to find, but I can now show you some names of LBT characters in Japanese that AREN'T written by me.

Even though it's different from my other translation, they are both correct. There are many different ways to say things in Japanese. B)

I couldn't just copy and paste the font here because obviously invisionfree doesn't support Japanese fonts. It looked like this when I just copied and pasted it:

Well, I don't know how to write Japanese because I haven't memorized the alphabets, but I do have the equivalent of a third year Japanese student even though I've only taken 1 year because I have continued my own studies. To be able to write the Japanese words, I have to look at the Hiragana and the Katakana character chart:

Each sound in a word corresponds to a letter in the alphabet. I use the Hiragana alphabet to write LBT characters because the Katakana alphabet is only to write things that have no literal Japanese translation (such as the names of American people).

Its not much different than learning what a letter looks like and associating a sound with it. Only difference is one you've been doing all your life the other you just saw in an image two minutes ago.
