I'm not fond enough of shows such as American idol to like the idea of it in the Great Valley, but I do think that the singing in general might be an interesting, though complex topic for a story. One could come up with some ideas about why and on which occasions dinosaurs sing. Is it a kind of instinct matter of them or are they actually practicing poetry? Are they singing whenever they feel they want to bring something important or difficult to explain / emotional across, or are they just singing when they feel like it? All these could be interesting questions to be answered in a story.

I thought of another idea for this fanfic. Some of the characters will have certain personality traits for their specific songs, or they will act like some of the previous Idol contestants.

For example, Cera would fit the persona of Kelly Clarkson, Chomper would act as Chris Daughtry, and just for kicks, Petrie would be Sanjaya Malakar

These are not final, but this is just to give you an idea of what I might do.
