Hwang could only stand by and watch as the only other human in the party fought against Team Rocket, and was unable to see where they left through the smoke. "Those three are more trouble than I thought..." he thought.

Solar picked up on the thought and turns his head to him. "It probably would've been better if you sent me out against them."

"Perhaps another time," the trainer replied, turning to the others. "We now know that this Ash has to be close, and if we find a PokÈcenter nearby then we'll most likely find him too."

Latias looked at him "There is centre near the centre of the town" they looked at her and she pointed to a map and she finished in mental messenge "I am going to check this gym out, I believe Ash would be there" Latias said mentaly

Hwang returns Ember to his pokÈball. "I might as well get to the PokÈcenter myself to do some pokÈmon switching. Solar, can you look after Latias?"

"It was never a question," Solar remarked, smirking. "I'll call you when something happens." He then runs off after Latias.

Latias and Solar arrive at the gym they walk in and enter the seats and sit down seeing a trainer going against the gym leader. "That's Ash with the Pikachu"

As Maxwell went to get his Zapdos treated, Hwang walks over to the machine to begin switching some of his pokÈmon, all except for Solar and Lobo. After a brief talk with Professor Birch, the trainer soon has four of his pokÈmon switched and he heads back to check on Maxwell.

Solar watches the match as it was heating up. "I haven't seen a battle from the outside until Hwang quit competing, and even afterwards it was rare," he said mentally to Latias.

Pikachu didge his attack with Quuick attack. Jolteion's blast missed. "Goiod, Now You IronTail!" pikachu tail glowed and it delivered a harsh blow. Jolteon flew backwards into the wall and was knocked out. "Nice job Pikachu" Ash said.

"Good match Ash. you win" the gym leader said recalling his pokÈmon he walks up to Ash and hand him a badge "You earned it. your Pikachu one strong pokÈmon" he smiled and walks away with the others that part of the gym heading out of the main arena.

"He won" Latias said mentally.

"Alright I got another badge! Only 2 more to go!" Ash put the badge away and Pikachu hopped up on his shoulder. He exitted the gym , not noticing latias following him.
