Kaga nodded and whispered back, "Yeah. Meet me outside tonight at sundown."
"Anyone else had enough in the water? I'd kinda like to finish our game from earlier." Kaga said to the others.

Longtail was at this point floating on his back in the water sound asleep snoring softly.

Hunter for her part was still sitting next to the pool of water hoping Dante would get bored and join her.

Littlefoot and Cera settled into the water to soak and enjoy the water that way since it seemed that is what the others were doing at the moment.

Snork reclined on his back in the water and said, "I love this place. It's so peaceful here."
It was the best time he had ever had in his entire life.

Hunter smiled at Littlefoots words and said in reply, "You are right Littlefoot...although anywhere with blue skies, and friends like this is better than the Mysterious Beyond.

Near sundown, Kaga said to the others, "Guys, I've got to go now. I'll see ya'll later."
He headed off toward the tree shelter to meet Strafe. He was excited and a bit nervous. This was going to be his first actual date and he hoped that everything went well. As Kaga approashed, he saw Strafe waiting and he ran to greet her.
"Ready to go?" he asked her.

Dante hopped out of the water, walking up next to Hunter.
"You're right. And y'know what? I think...this place would be ideal for raising a family, don't you, Hunter?"
He asked, lightly twining his tail with hers...

Hunter blushed at the mention of family and she nuzzled Dante as she replied.
"Of course. A family....would be wonderful to raise here." Hunter then giggled as she added at a whisper "Now if only I could find a mate strong enough to handle new born hatchlings."

Strafe saw Kaga approaching and ran to him excitedly.
"Of course I'm ready to go! Come on! Let's find something to eat."
She had been lookin forward to this date since arriving in the valley and now it was finally happening. Now it was She led Kaga to a quiet spot by the pond where there was lots of tree sweets.
"This looks like a good spot for dinner." Strafe said, gazing out across the pond and the moonlight reflecting off the surface. It was a clear night and the sky was filled with brilliant stars. The temperature was pleasantly warm and there was a light breeze.

Kaga smiled and said, "It's pretty here isn't it?"
He looked out across the lake and said, "Maybe we could have our nest somewhere along the river. That way we would be close to everyone else."
He took a bite of fruit and used his snout to roll a few pieces over to Strafe.

Dante smiled at Hunter, kissing her lovingly.
"well, I think I just might be strong enough to manage a group of hatchlings..."
He whispered back to her...

Hunter gave a coy smile as she whispered back to Dante "Oh really, then why my dear mate does Longtail always give you such a challenge? Hmmm?"

Longtail continued to sleep in the shallow end of the pond.

"Why live anywhere else if you can live here." Cera said.

Strafe smiled and took a bite of fruit.
"That's sounds good."
She grabbed branch of treestars down from a tree and said, "Here, Kaga."
Strafe broke it off and placed it on the ground between the two of them.

"How nice." said Kaga as he began to eat his share of the treestars.
He ate his fill and spent a while talking with Strafe. He really liked her and he knew that she was the dinosaur he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Strafe took a bite of treestars and looked at Kaga again. She wanted to say it but was having difficulty finding the words. Her shyness, which seemed to have disappeared on the way to the valley, was returning to her. Finally..
"Kaga," she said quietly. "I... I love you."
She placed her front right foot on Kaga's front foot and nuzzled his neck.

Kaga nuzzled Strafe's shoulder and whispered back, "I love you too, Strafe."
Her scales felt smooth to his cheek. Kaga thought she was so beautiful, even with the scar from Shriek's bite on her shoulder. Kaga nuzzled Strafe again and said, "I couldn't ask for a better partner. I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Hunter smiled.
"Yeah you two are right. This valley is a wonderful place to live." She then looked to Dante as she stood up and winked at him as she said, "I'm going to find us a place to...sleep." She winked at Dante again and started to walk away.

Longtail's nose began to sniff the air, and he lifted his head to see what he was smelling, but he didn't see anything so he went immediately back to sleep.

Strafe smiled to Kaga and licked him playfully on the cheek. A strange feeling came over her. She knew it was time now.
It seemed like hours had passed even though it had only been a few minutes. Strafe lay on the ground next to Kaga, breathing heavily. Her whole body trembled.
"Should we get back to the others now?" she panted tiredly.
