The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Oh my god, Gustav; those last two pieces are BRILLIANT!  ...Wow...  You updated that Ruby one...  And now, your shading has improved, too?     Wowzuh!

...I like the Blueberry one, too...!  Great job; you've found a way to "integrate" yourself into that world...  ....This is amazing....!
"And the Most High said unto Moses, Ahayah-Asher-Ahayah.  And he said, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel, Ahayah hath sent me unto you...  This is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations."

1953-2011...  One day, mother, I shall see you again...

Awesome work Lillefot.  :yes
Due to the different color and marking your character is not going to be confused with Ruby.
In my recent experimenting with photoshop the burn tool has been very helpful in creating shadow and while the Dodge tool worked out for lights. The main problem for me is to keep the surface of a shadow or light even; smudge- and blurtool were helpful with that.
Which tips could you give Littlefoot?

I'm very glad you all like it!
I sure do, Blueberry is my best peice ever! I love it! So glad it came out well!

Now that I've got the hang of shading and such, I can't wait to move on!
I better start sketching on my next one any day now.
Woops, I forgot! I'm supposed to go adventuring!
Maybe that could give me some nice inspiration!  :)

Uh-oh, Lillefot is getting better. Must use evil plans to stop him getting better than me. Muahaha. >=3

Ok, jokes aside. xD

This is incredible. o.O
Very cute pic. :^.^:
You are really improving very fast. :yes
But I see you are having problems with the shadow at her feet.
Is the picture around complete with white color? Because you can use a new layer below the picture and draw a shadow without damaging the pic.

Why not work with him on doing a picture instead of doing some sort of evil plan?

How many times do I have to say this, he's a boy!  :P:
Or is he a girl? I think he looks like a boy?  :yes  And he was meant to be!  :)
It was pretty hard to get a maskuline look, but I tried with these:
More feathers
Other color
Bigger "haircut" ( the feathers on the back of his neck)

maybe I shoud've made his crest higher...
I can do more drawings of Blueberry, so if you have any tips it would be great!
Like drawing his body more muscular etc etc...

Sky, Glad you liked it matey! As for the shadow, well, I guess I was asleep when making them! But yeah, I know about that. Thanks anyway!  :^.^:

I've signed for a special course in school next year, where I get to work more with Photoshop, webbdesign and other design/photo editing programs.
But for now, I'm self-learning, with help from all of you who shared your skills with me! Thanks!  :^.^:

All we have to go on for male and females of Ruby's kind are her family, which the males are blue and the females pink, though likely other colors may be present, maybe with females being brighter colors and males darker colors.

To bad they didn't decide to be more consistent with say only females having eyelashes, though would have helped, but to late now to do that.

The male / female difference is very difficult. It is very hard to draw LBT characters without leaving any doubt about the gender. If you look at a character and try to blend out anything you know about the voice and everything you know about LBT would it be possible to be certain about everybody's gender? Ducky has been referred to as "he" even in official sources (a book and an audio play).
Maybe this is not a big surprise as all of the characters are children and may therefore not look as unambiguous as their grownup counterparts do (little doubt for example about Tria while by just looking at Cera I don't know if we could be certain about her gender if we had never seen an LBT movie).

Yeah.
I guess that the only male Oviraptor we can refeer to right now, is Ruby's father.
Who only shows up in certain episodes from the Tv-series.
Then, Ruby has two younger siblings, one of them is a boy right?
But it's hard to tell who.   Besides, they're both alot younger than Ruby.
I think I shall do some observations and studies on this, then maybe I can develop more drawings that clearly shows the gender.

If I recall correctly each of her sibblings are likely of each gender, a younger brother and sister since one is pink and one blue.  Though since dinos, like some reptiles, it is not unusual to find it difficult to tell one gender from the other if one is not an expert.

The one thing that came to my mind today (while working on a Chomper drawing) about how they indicate gender of young characters in some (not all) cases is by giving the guys a more pronounced Laryngeal prominence. You did indicate that one in your drawing of course.
