Cyrix noticed the quiet...the eerie, uneasy quiet that settled over the valley, and he suddenly had a horrible feeling in the pit of his stomach...like something was missing...something he held close to his heart. 'Longtail...' he thought to himself...almost afraid to break the silence.

I just can¥t stand here and watch it, Ecco said and began to run in the direction Blueberry ran. Wait, I¥ll come with you, Ruby said. Me too, Chomper said. No, Chomper, you¥ll stay here, with the others. You are still to young, sorry. I don¥t want you to get hurt. I just wouldn¥t forgive myself, if something would happen to you

But.... I can..., NO. My last word, Ruby said and followed Ecco. Chomper was left alone and felt sad now. So he went over to Littlefoot. Hey, he said. They don¥t want me to come with them. That¥s not fair, chomper said with a disappointet voice.

Fastly Ecco reached Zaine and Blueberry. He first looked at Zaine, than at Blueberry and noticed the little wounds. Are you alright, he asked. What happened man?

Ruby came right after Ecco. Are you all okay? Is someone hurt?

"Guys..."
Blueberry slowly took his eyes from what he was looking at.
He made a gulping sound and swallowed. His face was filled with fear.
"......RUUUNNN!!!!!" he screamed as he started to push Zaine forward.
"Do as I say! And don't look back!! C'mon Zaine, snap out of it!"

"Chomper... Quiet!" Littlefoot whispered, and listened carefully.
He could hear something... it was far away but it was growing.
Something was screaming. As it grew he could hear it clearly.
It was a sharp, high tone.
Littlefoot got down on the ground, he screamed in agony and tried to cover his ears.
But it didn't help. The scream was there. Everywhere.
Then, when no one thought it could get any worse...
Hell broke lose.

It started with that the air suddenly became extremly cold.
And with it, a even colder wind came raging trough the Valley.
The skywater started to fall.
Then the ground started to shake. At first, it was like a little vibration, but it quickly grew in strenght and in just a matter of seconds it was like the world were falling apart. The rolling noise was everywhere.
The it got all quiet again for a couple of seconds...
Littlefoot looked up, but had to throw himself down to the ground again, he pulled Chomper close to himself and closed his eyes.

There was a incredibly load bang, like a thousand thunderclaps, and in a matter of seconds, the sky was turning dark red, and millions of dark purple lightning bolts burst open troughout the sky, like a giant spiderweb.
The mountaintops started to crack.
Everywhere in the Valley, animals where screaming and fleeing in panic.
Littlefoot tried and call trough the nosie:
"GRANDMA! GRANDPA!!"

Rocks started to fall where Blueberry and his friends where.
"Into the caves! Hurry! And make your way back into the valley!" he screamed, and stoped. Making sure all of his friends got in before he did. A flash appeared before his eyes...

What the...??? Ecco shouted. What¥s the matter with you Blueberry, why this panic? He sat down in the cave and looked up to him. Now, tell us please what¥s going on here. I have a feeling like you would know.

Are you alright? Ruby asked Zaine

Aaaaah, what¥s going on here. Chomper asked confused. He went closer to Littlefoot not looking up, because he was very scared. He called for Ruby, but he knew she wouldn¥t hear him, because of the load noises.

"If you wanna live, then RUN, Ecco!" Blueberry shouted, and now his face were angry. "Run now, make your way back, and take Ruby with you!"

Ruby came to Ecco and laid her hand on his shoulder. Ecco... maybe it..would be.... No, I am not going, before I know what¥s happening!

I¥ll, Chomper shouted, almost cried. He pushed his face into his hands and hoped that all this terror will end fast.

Longtail was standing on a rock sticking out of the wall of the valley, with his wings spread wide he was screaming into the now darkened sky with no end in sight. He then opened his eyes and stared down for a moment and noticed Blueberry standing near a cave entrance...and he gave a wicked smile as he screamed once more, causing the earth to shake, and the sky to rain. He stopped for a moment and smiled and as he spoke, his voice echoed across the valley, "So, this is what true power feels like...it's breath taking!"

He then began to laugh hysterically, but it was interrupted as he thought about his friends for the slightest of moments...he blinked several times, and hit left eye turned back to original color for only a moment as he whispered "B-blueberry..." then his mind became clouded once more and he roared into the sky, flapping his wings and taking off across the valley.

Another gaint rock suddenly crashed to the ground, just a few metres from where Blueberry and Ecoo stood.
Blueberry held up his hands to protect himself, then lowered them and looked at Ecco with a tired look.
"Sigh*...Convinced?"

I think so, but after that, I want to know! So he took Ruby by the hand and went out of the cave, watching out for falling rocks. Don¥t forget Zaine inside there. And be careful.

Zaine had been keeping up with the others, but he couldn't speak. He was still in shock about what happened to Longtail. No. It's not possible. He can't be gone. He began to cry from where he was at. "LONGTAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed out. Why did it have to take you? Unfortunately, he didn't notice all the falling rocks around him. He snapped out of it and ran to join Blueberry and the others. "Let's get the hell out of here!"

Spiral was fighting his way back to the Falls, having retreived the fighting sticks he'd gone for...save he was having some problems with falling trees. Jumping sideways, he narrowly missed being impaled by a branch from one as it slammed into the ground, the shockwave knocking him off his feet. I...MUST get back to her... he thought, his anger at whatever was causing this giving way to determination. Using the pair of fighting sticks as balance aids, he got back on his feet and started moving again. He'd get back...He had to.

Kariya, on the other hand, was experiencing one of her greatest fears (one that was shared by both of them, actually): beiong caught in the open, with nowhere to hide, with no one to protect her. Not being able to run didn't help things - she'd tried, but she ended up on her face quite fast. Scrabbling forward, away from the threat of the forest, she quickly ran out of energy. Curling up into a tight ball, she started screaming for her brother. There wasn't much else she could do...

Longtail high up in the sky actually hears Zaine call his name. This causes him to stop...and laugh demonically as he turned around and flapped back towards the cave that held some of his friends. He lowered himself to the ground and using his tail whipped several large boulders out of his way. He then looked inside the cave, and his eyes turned a dark deep red, and his smile was just as dark and sinister...he took two steps forward and said "Hi, Zaine....you called for me?" He then began to laugh again just to scare everyone.

Cyrix had taken cover behind a tree nearby, but had lost sight of Mim. He began calling her name hoping she would hear him. "MIM!!! Where are you?!"

Seeing everyone suddenly teleport away Mim raised one eyebrow ridge. "Fascinating... that's not happened before. I must tell the tourist about this and ask if he's seen anything like it before." She then looked at Shera who was still near her. She

"Come on, let's go over to Mrs. Swimmer's nest area, maybe they are over there." Mim said. "Lets go." She said.

Shera nodded her head, "ok." Not sure but not wanting to be left behind either. Both set off at a run to where Ducky & Diver's nest area was.

Once they arrived they saw Diver, Mia, Petrie, & Rhyn. "The others are not here?" Mim asked, the others shook their head.

"We were about to go and..." Rhyn started to say but stopped herself not sure if Mim would be one of those grownups who would try to stop them.

"Us 2 also. Lets go. We may have little time before whatever it is happens and we need some information and that is best done closer then here. I know of some small caves, that we can fit in, but not the larger grown ups, over that way." Mim said. She quickly described the direction and area. Mim looked at the 2 flyers, "I want the of you to fly low and make sure no grown ups are likely to see us. Some grownups are not as open minded and know when action is needed. Lets go." Mim said.

Petrie and Rhyn nodded and flew off together. Rhyn said and she and Petrie flew off to be sure their other friends would not be seen going back to warn them if they saw a grown up was near to the path they ware taking or Rhyn would distract them by engaging them in some conversation so they others could slip past without being seen.

Mim and the others set off. Diver road on her friend Mia while the others jogged alongside her as they ran along, the pace set by Shera. They hid among some bushes when they could, to avoid being seen.

What was that? Did you hear that laugh? Ecco asked. Than he looked back to the cave. What the? There is longtail. Listen, go back to the others, I¥ll be right there.

Okay, alright. But Ecco..., Yes? Be careful she said in a soft voice and smiled. I will, don¥t worry. Just go back.

With that, Ecco left her and went to Longtail. Longtail? Is it you? You are alive. That¥s awesome, I am so happy,... than he noticed Longtails red eyes and his evil face. What,...what happened to you?

Rubys way back to the valley wasn¥t easy. She had to be careful because of many falling rocks and trees. But she finally managed to get back into the valley. Please be fine everyone, please be fine, she said to herself. Than she noticed Littlefoot and Chomper lying on the ground. Okay, stay there, she shouted. It is a good place, I think it won¥t happen something bad to you there. Chomper heart her and looked to her direction. He was very glad, she was alive. Okay, he shouted back and nodded in agreement.

Suddenly she heart a shouting. It was the call from Kariya. Wait,... someone is shouting for help. Not far away I guess. She followed the shouting and noticed Kariya among the trees. Hey, over here, Ruby shouted to her. I know a good place to hide!

Zaine was at first highly relieved to see Longtail alive. "Thank god you are alive Longtail! I feared the worst when that cloud swallowed you up." Then he also noticed his pure red eyes, and Zaine was scared. "Longtail...you look...different. What's happened to you?" Zaine began to fear what might have happened. He's lost control again. Only this time, he's lost it for good. "Longtail?"

Vylor and Argaya were stuck in a cave. The rocks were falling around them, and the two were fearing for their lives. "We need to get out of here." Argaya said.
"How? The entrance is sealed!" He responded.
I wish that we were back home in ƒlagaesia. There we could blast the rocks away. "That's it! Argaya! Think of the magic. We might be able to save ourselves if we can create a magical force strong enough."
Vylor and Argaya then connected their minds and began focusing on their inner strength. They found the place in their combined mind where it was.
Suddenly, a rock shot out of the way and the entrance was opened. "Is it just me, or is that Longtail's voice?" Vylor stated.
"It sounds evil. I don't like it at all." Argaya replied.

Longtail continued to grin at his friends in the cave and after Zaine had asked if he was okay. Longtail laughed again...and started to drool, as he stepped closer. He then said with his dark voice..."You all...look scared...thats good...very good....heh...let the fear take control....it won't be so bad...for a while anyway...come on...your...'friendship with me...was bound to end sooner or later."

Longtail's body then shuddered as he blinked and said with fear "H-help....me...." But just as quickly he was back to his dark evil demeanor. "now...who wants to be first.." asked Longtail with a sadistic grin.

Cyrix was looking for anyone nearby, but after several moments had to stop to catch his breath, as it suddenly felt like his heart skipped a beat as he continued to worry about Longtail... 'Please, PLEASE Longtail...be okay! I'm begging you...'
