Ruby was a bit upset about that what Cyrix said. But anyway he was right. It¥s not good to make friends with Spiral. Because if she would lose him, it would just hurt much more. Cy... Cyrix. Wait! But Cyrix couldn¥t hear her any more. What should I do now. Someone has to keep him company...

Dante shook his head, smiling at Chomper.
"You can do plenty. In fact, right now, you're probably our safest bet. Cera or I would probably hurt Korr too darn bad. Just go over there and... I dunno, bite his tail or something. Whatever comes to mind..."

Korr turned to Zaine and simply replied "Because it's that same cruelty that keeps me and my herd alive."

Cyrix nodded to Virgil but then said with a frown: "Perhaps you're right...but I just...I feel lost...without Longtail...I mean...I always knew there was a chance for this to happen...but...I was sure sure we could handle it...so sure that his well being would be...better...I always said I'd be there to help him...and...I can't..."
Cyrix then sat down and held his head in his hands as he cried and said "I made him a promise...that if he ever...lost control...even just once...by accident...I'd..I'd kill him...but now...I don't know...I don't know if I can even face him...and that's if we find him." He sobbed once more and said "I just want him back...that's all."

Grandpa Longneck sighed and knelt next to Zaine and said "Now now please calm down Zaine. Korr may be...well...stupid for saying such things...but as long as you have faith in Longtail and your other friends, then what the Red Horn says shouldn't upset you...okay?"

Korr then cleared his throat and said "You know I heard that right?"

And Grandpa Longnecks response was.."I know...I just don't care." The elderly longneck then noticed Rhyn landing and nodded as he said "Hello Rhyn...how are you?"

Spiral nibbled on a leaf as he checked himself over again, this time looking for more cosmetic issues. His feathers appeared to be in a state of disarray, not that surprising to him considering recent events. Sighing slightly, Spiral began fixing up what he could, pinching off broken parts that were still attached to their respective feathers while leaving the bases in while straightening out what he could, taking his time to get it just right.

"are you sure you're OK?" Kariya asked, her tone light.

"Yup," Spiral responded. Cocking his head, he finished his reply in sign: ::Why wouldn't I be?::

::Your attention to yourself isn't what I'd expect from you,:: Kariya signed back.

"What else do you think I can do right now?" Spiral said.

"Point," Kariya conceded.

Chomper smiled a bit at Dante and appreciated it that she made him such a compliment. Well,... I guess i could. But.. but I think I just wouldn¥t be brave enough..., I might be in really bad dangour, that I would be that tought and doing something like that. But just see his size. He would smash me like I¥d be nothing..., anyway. I hope that all is soon over.

Ruby raised up her head to look Motochika in the eyes. She laid her hand on Motochikas shoulder and said: Listen, you can call me with my name, Ruby. You don¥t have to use Miss. I feel so old then. She began to smile and answered her question. Well... I am fine so far, I guess. Cyrix just told me, that,.... if I would keep Spiral company..., he and me could become good friends. Well.. and,... he said to lose a good friend does hurt very much. And he is right. so..., if I would become good friend with Spiral, and something would happen to him, then it would hurt, yes... . But I wonder who should keep Spiral company then. I mean, we can¥t let him alone there.

IC: Scarface walked besides Scarface and Diver. He said nothing. He just looked around, and was amazed about all this... mess. I really hope the others are fine. He said then.

Shera was a bit unsure of what to do now. She walked over to Ducky & Spike.

"Hi.. Mind if I ehh.. join you guys? I don't really know where I should go now..."

Ducky looked at Shera. "Sure, Spike and I were just going to look for my little sister, Diver. Right Spike?"

The three of them walked out of the cave.

Virgil looked at Cyrix, then crouched beside him, looking sadly at the ground.
"You know...I don't think that whatever was there was really Longtail. That...whatever that storm was...I think it changed him. I think that the Longtail we all know is still there somewhere. We'll free him, just wait and see..."

Motochika smiled gently at Ruby.
"Well...Ruby...Emotions, the heart... Such things are...complicated. While it may be true, what Cyrix says...I doubt it. There is a time for such things as that, but...I think that you need only to do what you think is right.'
He said, putting his own hand on her shoulder...

Blue-eyes nodded, "It is a mess and I"m glad the injures, if any, are mild. How did flattooth valley fair?" He asked.

"There was a very bad storm there. Some of us took shelter in a cave. That did make it better, it certainly did." Diver said.

"I just hope there were not major injuries." Mia said. "and that this, whatever can be resolved."

Zaine shook his head, still crying. "You'll never understand" With that, he turned around and fled the meeting place, running past Cera and the others. He kept running until he was a good distance from the others. He finally dropped to his knees and kept crying. I must seem very weak right now, but I don't care. Longtail is my best friend, and I can't give up on him. I just can't understand why the grownups would want to abandon him.

"Longtail! Where are you?"

Cera was shocked to see Zaine run past her like that..and even more shocking was that he was crying. 'He must really miss Longtail. He might want to be alone right now...but there is just something I've got to tell him.' she said mentally.

Cera then turned to Dante and said "I'll check on him...stay here and keep Chomper company." She then walked over to where she thought Zaine would be and saw him crying alone. She sighed and walked over and sat across from him.

Cera then looked into his eyes and said "Listen Zaine...I know you probably want to be alone right now, but I just have to tell you this..." She then raised her voice, "Now just suck it up! I know you feel bad about this, but there was obviously nothing you could've done when it happened. You actually know more about what's going on here than I do! And Longtail is my friend too...and I'm worried he may be hurt...or...dead...even...but..I can't...just sit here and wish it were different..."

She too then began to cry "I have to be strong...for him...and me. And...if being his friend has taught me anything...it's that...he's just as stubborn as a threehorn....so you can bet he'll find his way back to us no matter what!"

Grandpa Longneck then raised his voice as he shouted "Now look what you've done Korr...you've gone and upset the children! I want you out of this meeting circle NOW!" he then slammed his foot down on the ground for emphasis.

The Red Horn nodded and without a word walked off into the forest behind him with a grin on his face...knowing what he had to do now.

A small sigh came from the trees near Zaine.
"Look. It...if anyone screwed up royally, it was me. You saw what I was Zaine. I...I couldn't control myself. The only thought I had was to kill you, just because you were there. I... If I ever lose it like that again, I want you to do me a favor. Take me out of commission. Break something, whatever, just...stop me. Can you guys do me that favor? Because I know that when we go to find Longtail, there's a big risk that it'll happen again. So if you wanna blame anyone, it's me that should take the brunt of it..."
Dante said, stepping out of the foliage...

"Young ones, the same all over, whether they are adults or not, many seem to prefer to cause trouble or argue then to do what needs doing or talk in a calm manner." The old flyer said.

Rhyn nodded, "I've noticed that. There are some kids who often go off on their own and do what needs doing while the grown ups argue." Rhyn said remembering some of the stuff Littlefoot and his friends had done in the past.

"They are not the only ones, there are others elsewhere who do much the same. Big valley, blue valley, other places. Here it is this Littlefoot you mentioned, elsewhere it is others and their friends. Though some have more sensible adults who go with them who would rather do what needs to get done instead of stand around and argue." The old flyer said.

Zaine sighed. "I knew the grownups wouldn't come up with anything. We have to go and find him ourselves." He then looked at Cera. "You're right Cera. I'm sorry for being so weak. If I was in Longtail's position, he would come up with a plan to rescue me, not sit here and cry." He then dried his eyes with his tail and stood up with determination. "I don't care what Kor thinks of Longtail, and I don't care if Littlefoot's grandpa disapproves. I'm going out to find Longtail, and nobody's going to stop me." He then turned towards his friends. "I'm not crazy enough to do this alone. Will you two come with me?"

"I have noticed grownups do like to argue instead of doing things that need doing, I certainly have." Diver said riding Mia as they walked along nearing the cave.

"I've wondered that myself. It does seem pretty stupid. Though not all the grownups prefer to stand around and argue. I've noticed at least a few don't. That female rainbowface doesn't, and Mr. Thicknose often just leaves or doesn't show up for meetings, like she will just leave meetings at times also and go do what needs doing. I wonder why more grownups don't do that." Mim said walking along.

"It sounds like the flatteeth of flatooth valley like to argue." Blue-eyes said.

"Part of the reason is that Threehorn person prefers to argue and bully folks. I think he likes doing that as much as Hyp does." Mia said.

"They can be mean they both certainly can." Diver said.

"I doubt either of them really has any friends. Just some cronies who hang around them." Mia said. "As for Hyp being mean, just hit him with a big stick or in the belly a few times. I did and he doesn't bother me much anymore. I know he avoids my older brother." Mia said.

"Your older brother, but he is nice he certainly is." Diver said nodding.

"To nice people he is." Mia said.

"Sounds like as colorful folks there as a few in my herd." Blue-eyes said.

Cera then turned and sprinted away from the elders who were still discussing what they were going to do.

Chomper, who was still awake looked around and saw the kids just disappearing behind a little hill. I hope so too, he said. They went in that direction, and Chomper pointed in the direction where he saw the kids the last time. Then he slided off the back from the longneck and said: I am going to look where they will go. So he ran off in the direction of the kids.
