Longtail suddenly frowned.
"I've got a bad feeling..."

Pearl looked around for a moment and asked Longtail a question.
"Why do you say that? It seems peaceful around here to me."

Just as Longtail was going to answer another voice called out from behind them.

"Well, well...just when I thought I wouldn't find you again, it seems my old hiding spot has a few new...guests. And some of them I actually know!"

Longtail's body tensed up and he turned around very slowly while Pearl let go and took several steps backwards.

Longtail saw who the speaker was and uttered only one word to show he knew the newcomer.

"Dad...."

Longtails body was still tense when he answered Ritas' question.
"Yeah...and I think he wants something more than just to say hi."

The dark blue and white fast biter stepped forward and had a sinister smile on his face.
"Very good boy...well, it seems you at least inherited something from me." He then stepped forward again.

Longtail instinctively stepped back, and took up a fighting stance while doing so.

"So...it's a fight you wish son? Well then let me be the first to tell you...you've finally met your match!" said Longtail's father as he ran at his son with his claws bared and ready to strike.

At the new situation been developing, Cayso could just give a small laugh - "What is wrong here? why are fathers gaining such bad reputation lately?."

Racnar frowned - "This is wrong, why would a father want to attack his own hatchling?."

"Maybe to see what the kid is made of? Greyclaw made something similar with me." - Cayso's smile was changed by a serious look on his face, his eyes vivid watching every movement, he is even ready to jump into the action if needed.

Just as Longtail and his father were about to attack, another voice called out.

"Dad...seriously, just let it go. I can see from here that you won't beat him."

Longtail heard the voice, and it was clearly female. However the fact that his father actually responded to the voice is what really cuaght his attention. He looked around and found two other fastbiters, and one other flyer. One fastbiter was the same color as his father, the other fastbiter had a purple scale color and a single white strip that ran from her head down to her tail. The flyer however was the same color as Soul, except that the crest wasn't red like his own, but a faded white.

Longtail looked at the three and for some reason couldn't shake the feeling like he knew these three from somewhere before. He tilted his head to one side and asked,"Who...who are you three?"

Soul giggled and stepped behind the three as she spoke, "My son...you don't recognize your brother and two sister?"

Pearl looked confused as well.
"I didn't know you had brothers and sisters Longtail."

Longtail unfortunately didn't say a word, being far too shocked to do anything.

Twiz frowned at the talk of leafeaters accepting sharpteeth, he thought it impossible...but then...it hadn't been the leafeater but rather his mom's sharptoothed flyer's herd that had messed up and kicked his dad out.

"P-parents don't always act like ya want them to" Twiz replied to Chomper and some of the others questions on fathers. "Sometimes your own mom even can...not stand up...when...she should" he looked thoughtful.

He turned over to look at Longtail's family though and wasn't shocked by it as much as he should have been probably.

He stepped a bit forward, "Um...your...scary father aside, nice to meet you two" he nodded a bit, still not close enough to shake hands or anything and keeping back with the others.

He smiled to Chomper, "Well if a fast biter's his dad, then some of them probably have to be fast biters too" he said logically.

"You have a point Twiz." - Racnar said, waving to the newcomers while still sitting on that rock, not showing much emotion but still trying to make a small smile.

"Who knows?, maybe that way is how Sharpteeth Flyers appeared in the world." - Cayso said. He then greeted the newcomers by bowing his head... specially since they are part of Longtail's family.

Longtail was still far too shocked to say anything and after a moment, he sat down on the ground and sighed.

Pearl patted him on the back and kissed him for a moment.

His brother gave a short laugh.
"Awww...little brother has a girlfriend. How cute."

One of Longtail's sisters sighed and replied, "Leave him alone bro."

Soul smiled at Longtail and asked a question.
"Do you happen to know your siblings names?"

Longtail shook his head in a no fashion and still tried to make sense of what was going on.

"Um, well, we're Longtail's friends," Chomper said to Longtail's siblings, introducing himself, Rita, Cayso, Racnar, Kai, Tyra, Greg, and Twiz.

Twiz heard what Cayso said and frowned a bit, "Well if it is, then my herd's got lotsa appolagiese and explaning to do!" he said, knowing that such a story sounded like that legend of flyers once ruling the world that he'd heard about one time but couldn't for the life of him remember where...

"This is too unreal." said Longtail with a frown.

Pearl sat next to him knowing this wasn't easy for Longtail.

Soul then ushered the three others away as she said, "Come along you three, Longtail needs time. We'll return when he's ready for us."

Longtails father stepped over to the pond and sat down loking at his reflection. "This place is paradise." he said aloud.

"I agree." - Cayso said now showing a smile. He stood up and began re-arranging the display feathers on his arms. - "My brother and I are also new here."

Racnar said no word, he just stood up and began walking back to the herd. To that Cayso just sighed, wishing about something he could do to cheer him up.

Ichy noticed that longtail seemed distant and rather confused. He decided he'd give the flyer some advice.
As he landed he looked over to Pearl and asked, "Can I speak to Longtail alone for a moment please, I promise he'll feel much better after we've talked."

Pearl sighed and nodded her head in compliance and flapped over to Racnar. She then asked, "Are you alright? You look...upset about something."

Longtail looked up at Ichy and still didn't say a word.

Ichy however asked a question of his own.
"Hey Longtail I know you're confused and don't know what to do right now...but think about this. So I'm going to give you some help. I know that it can be hard to accept things like this happening all at once. But now you have a real family...and now may be the only chance you get to see them again...so do what I did when I joined with Dil and Greg...and be happy about it kid."

Longtail blinked for a moment and knew Ichy was right. He slowly stood up and shook his head to clear any doubts he had. He then smiled broadly and said, "Yeah, sure...I'll be happy about it...just as soon as I prove myself to my father!"
He then looked over to his father sitting at the pond and shouted "HEY DAD....GET READY TO FINISH THAT FIGHT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!"

Cayso just had to smile at the sight of Longtail wishing for a fight - "He doesn't change." - he thought as he began looking at his friend's father, waiting for his answer.

Racnar stopped for a second as he could hear Longtail's claiming for a fight, and turned to see what will happen.

Longtail's father smiled almost gleefully as he heard his son's declaration to fight. He slowly stood up and said in response, "If that is what you wish..." he then charged at Longtail as fast as he could go.

Longtail having sensed this coming leaned forward and jumped into his fathers attack, causing both to collide and roll back down hill and into the pond. Longtail stood up and swung his tail around, hoping to catch his father off guard.

Pearl saw what was happening and was torn between standing still and going to help. but then she looked back up at Racnar and remembered her question hadn't been answered and she asked again.
"You are sure you're okay Racnar?"

Soul and Longtail's brother and two sisters heard the fighting and all four of them couldn't help but smile.

"Sounds like our little brother is back to normal." said one of his sisters.

"But why would he...?" Twiz looked over at the others confused as Longtail all but asked for a fight.

Misty sighed, "I think it's something only that slightly odd family gets" she commented.

"Oh..." Twiz still didn't fully get it, but he dropped the question.
