The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

"Are you Misty's parents?" Rita asked.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Cool Longtail, you can swim great!" Greg said. "Who knows? Maybe you are part belly dragger?"
Chomper laughed. "I don't know about that," he said.
Darksacle scoffed at Greg's words.
"Please...don't insult us. He's just luck is all...he's had practice and lots of it...that's the only reason he can do that."
Sky however returned her gaze back to Racnar and smiled.
Longtail surfaced for a moment and said to Greg, "Don't feel bad, my brother is just a big jerk. He has  issues with me being better than him so ignore him and he'll shut up."
Dil sighed and turned to her son.
"Well we should get back to teaching you how to hunt. Come along."
"Bellydraggers are good trap-layers as you need water to survive, so if you don't see them coming, then you are pretty much eaten, almost like Longtail." - Cayso commented as he saw Greg going with his mother to another hunting lesson.
Racnar walked near Sky, and he say to her shyly - "I-I hope you are feeling better... about Dil and Longtail's accident."
Sky giggled and said, "Yes..I'm feeling alright about it. It was an accident after all." she then asked a question. "How are you doing? And you're holding your chest...is something wrong?"
Dil dove underwater again and began showing both Greg and Longtail how to properly set a trap like a real belly dragger. "Now the trick is to wait and and let your target make the first mistake."
And that target was a lone swimmer, swimming around nearby. Greg dove underwater, only his eyes above surface. "Then what?" he whispered.
Dil smiled.
"Now swim slow and quietly making sure not to splash or make any sound at all..then...once we're close enough...we strike. Would you like to try Greg?" she asked with a smile.
Longtail smiled as well as he said, "Only if I can try too."
Dil struggled hard not to laugh as she responded.
"Sure Longtail."
Racnar felt good as he heard that Sky is calm. - "It is good that the accident didn't have any consequences." - he then heard Sky's question and he considered making up something, maybe even a lie so she would not get worried, but he just couldn't lie at her, so he sighed before replying - "The truth is... that I have an illness in my chest, it makes me feel weak at times. But don't worry... the pain will pass." - Racnar tried to smile, but he just looked to another side, as he didn't want to tell her all the truth, not wanting her to feel bad.
Cayso was looking at everything but he was keeping some distance, but still paying close attention.
Sky was indeed worried, but she also knew enough that Racnar wouldn't tell everything right away. She sighed, and then smiled as she placed a claw on his back.
"Don't worry whatever the sickness may be...I'm sure you'll find a cure. In fact...I know it!" he smiled once more and looked to the sky again.
Twiz had at first stared in shock as Longtail swam, so much so his little crawler crawled away to safety, then he flew over to the edge of where Longtail was learning from the bellydraggers, yet not too close, he didn't want to see the poor swimmer 'get it' after all, and waited to ask what he had to ask after the lesson was over.
~~~~

Windy turned as Soul approached and squinted, trying to remember, "Well...oh yes of course!" she almost laughed and put a hand to her face in slight embaressment, "Soul, how are you doing?" she asked.

Shane, having just swallowed some shells, walked over, "Soul? Oh yeah, the friend from that time you two were gabbing all night" he rolled his eyes. "Oh hush up, we were not, and I'm not sure you could even call it 'night' here" Windy replied with a smile anyway.

She then heard what Rita asked and looked at the little sharptooth, smiling wistfully, "Why yes dear, we are" she answered, "why, do you know...".

Misty had been standing there silent the whole time, just staring almost unbelieving at her parents as all the memories of when she was a little hatchling even younger than now came back. She was almost too overwhelmed to do anything, yet then it broke, right in the middle of her mom's statement and she rushed forward.

"Mom! Dad!" she cried, rushing up to hug her stunned parents. "Why...Misty.." Windy held her hatchling who was older now of course but still her hatchling back a bit as she took stock of all of this, "What are you doing here...don't tell me!" she looked worried.

Misty gave a tearful laugh, "No, I'm fine, I'm just visiting, Miss Soul helped me out with that". Windy could only stare at the flyer in stunned gratitude of a sense.

"Well imagine that" Shane all but muttered before, still in a sort of shocked haze, allowing Misty to trade over to him and hug him next.

"I'm Rita, one of your daughter's friends," the girl sharptooth said, introducing herself.

Racnar looked back at Sky - "That... means... a lot, thanks." - the kid could give a wider smile as he felt more trustful.

Cayso kept on looking at Racnar and Sky - "I think things are good for them." - he thought as he began looking at Longtail, Greg and Dil as they were hunting.

Soul held back a few tears as she watched Misty embrace her parents for the first time since meeting the little hatchling.
"This...is such a heartwarming moment." Soul said aloud as she stepped forward.
She then addressed Shane and Windy. "Would you two like to know why i brought your daughter out here?" she said with a serious tone.

~~~~
Longtail smiled darkly as he swam forward following Greg and he rose out of the water, opening his jaws and biting down on the swimmers' neck.
Sky sat down next to Racnar and said with a friendly smile, "Come on...let's watch Greg and Longtail hunt."
Racnar nodded as he returned the smile. - "Sure, that should be... very interesting to see."
"To be able to hunt that way can come in handy, but I prefer a more 'traditional' way." - Cayso commented.
Sky giggled as she said, "Traditional hunting is nice, but it doesn't hurt to have a few more skills in hunting in a different place."
"Exactly," nodded Chomper. "Like how swimming sharpteeth and bellydraggers hunt well in the water, and flying sharpteeth do great in the sky."
~~~~~~~~~~~`

Rory and Myra finished off all the crawlers they had caught. "Tasty, aren't they?" commented Myra.

"You guys are right, the more techniques, the more chances we have to survive." - Cayso said and added - "Racnar and I know how to swim too, but I consider myself a bit better in ground hunting, maybe that's why I tend to get better in this way."

"It is also most useful... to have Flyers and Swimmers like Bellydraggers in hunting groups... the chances to get a meal grows very much with coopeartion." - Racnar said as he nodded to everyone's ideas.
