"Ok, see you later," Diamond waved back. He flew inside, all of the other sharpteeth ahead of him.

Chomper, Kai, Rita, and Tyra arrived shortly after. "Whoa..." commented Chomper. "I've never seen a cave like this before!" Tyra smiled. "I'll admit, it's quite a sight," Kai commented. "But does anyone else feel these caverns have a purpose?"

Cayso and Racnar arrived just after the rest of the group - "I do." - Racnar replied to Kai's comment about the cave.
"Yes, this cave feels that way, but then again, everything and everyone has a purpose." - Cayso's comment made Racnar to frown, but then he sighed as he saw his older brother patting him.

"W-where are we Longtail?" Asked Pearl now beginning to be a bit scared.

"Don't be afraid Pearl. This is a place of peace and harmony..." Longtail said as he looked around but then frowned as he continued speaking "..but you'd never tell with all this fog. Give me a moment." Longtail steps forward and begins to run in a circle, but as he did the fog around the group of friends begins to disappear and as it does the true sight of the cave is shown.

Dante's eyes widened as he looked into the cave and could really see what was meant to be seen. The cave rose as high as the mountain it was sitting in, and the walls had stone statues of every type of dinosaur: Sharpteeth, Longnecks, Spiketails, Clubtails, Swimmers, and Flyers. Some were big like Red Claw and others were as small as a hatchling.
Dante also noted that they were in a specific pattern (In the order above) And he found this strange.

Pearl gasped at the sight and looked up as the statues rose up to the very top of the mountain. She then noticed Longtail had stopped running around in circles and stuttered:
"This....this is so, beautiful. But...again where are we?"

Longtail sighed.
"We are in the hatching place of those who came before us on this island, those who were to watch over us and protect us for as long as we live, and when our time comes this is where they are placed, both in body and spirit, from first to last."

Pearl visibly shook as she replied: "You...you don't mean the Guardians do you?"

"Yes, the very same." stated Longtail with a seriousness in his voice.

"This place does look beuatiful," Tyra nodded. "Indeed, this is one of the most unique things I've ever seen," Kia added.

But Chomper were confused by something. "Who are the Guardians? I don't quite get it," he said, curious. Diamond nodded, his mate had more knowledge of these type of things.

"I'd like to know too. Because I have heard of them only in stories but not much is really said." - Cayso comment while looking everywhere as more statues become visible as the fog dissipates.

"I am more concern about..." - Racnar talked to himself and then he asked Longtail - "How do you know all of this Longtail?"

At hearing the questions from his friends, Longtail turned around to face them with a happy but somewhat sad grin as he said, "I know this...because...I am...supposed to be the last Guardian. Remember this very island was completely wiped out...and then sank, no one else survived but me. I have to be the last, its the only thing that makes sense....unless..."

Peal felt as if the center of the whole conversation had shifted to her, and she blushed for a moment as she asked, "W-what are you looking at me for?"

Longtail again smiled and said to everyone "It is believed that if you were born on this island, or anywhere...special...like a paradise like the Great Valley, when you die, your spirit is able to talk to the living like us. In short the Guardians are the spirits of the dead that watch over the living, and protect us from life threatening danger...well only if they know you can't figure a way out yourself. And that's pretty rare."

Dante whistled.
"That sounds impressive...but now I'm curious to see if you can actually prove it. Can you talk to these guardians right now?!"

Pearl smiled and replied, "That would be nice to see."

"Yeah, I wanna see them!" Chomper smiled, this sounding very exciting.

Tyra was still impressed by everything. She was a big fan of legends, no matter how unrealistic they may seem. Kai, even though this was his first time hearing about the Guardians, believed it, he knew they wouldn't come this far if it wasn't real.

Chomper then went over to Longtail and asked "Not playing favorites or anything, but do you think we could talk to the Sharptooth Guardian first?

Longtail gave a short laugh and replied, "Are you kidding me? If I call on one of them, we'll be talking to ALL of them. Without a doubt. So, if you Chomper for instance wanted to speak to Sharptooth, then now would be your chance. As for me..." He shed a tear and continued.
"I'll...be talking to my mother...for the first time...in...a long...while." Longtail then turned his attention to everyone else and asked, "Is there anyone else you guys would like to talk to specifically?"

Pearl was silent for a moment and said, "M-my grandma. I miss her."

Dante gave a long sigh and said, "I'd...like to see my mentor...Arius again. Can you really do this Longtail?"

Longtail laughed aloud.
"Alright you guys...just...don't move."
Longtail then walked into the center of the cave, spread his wings at his side, and placed his tail on the ground and began chanting to himself. "We are the light, we are the protectors, we guide those lost, and found to the place where the darkness hides from the light. Together as one will the light fight the dark, You are my heart, I am your claws, we fight as one, even when we are apart!"

Longtail eyes then began to glow white and the fog returned stronger than before and it began to shine blue as it surrounded everyone inside the cave. The statues eyes then began to glow white as well and could be seen through the blue fog as if they were all watching this phenomenon taking place.

"Whoa, this is freaky, but in a good way," Rita said, in awe at the sight.

Kai went up to Longtail and put his hand on the flyer's back. "I hope everything goes well. If I had the ability to talk to someone I cared about who was dead, that would be a miracle, but I'm glad you're able to see your mother again."

Veli just looked amazed at the whole thing, he was curious about seeing ALL of them.

Tyra stood by Kai and nodded. "Yeah, I'm happy for you Longtail."

"I have never seen something like this before, it is breathtaking" - Racnar was totally astonished, he grabbed his brother's hand unwittingly looking for something known for him.

Cayso noticed Racnar grabbing his hand, he looked at him smiling and told him - "Just try to relax, this is nothing bad, just let go and see what will happen next." - He then looked at Longtail and nodded - "Nice ability you have there, enjoy your moment".

Longtail finally blinked his eyes open as Kai touched his back. They young flyer then immediately slumped to the floor and and gave a long sigh and sounded extremely tired. Longtail took several deep breaths and couldn't find the strength to stand up.

Pearl was at his side in a moment when she realized he wasn't standing up. She tried to help him up, but his body was shaking far too much for him to stand. After two more tries she sighed and sat next to him. She kissed him and blushed as she asked, "A-are you alright?"

Instead of Longtail answering Pearls question, another voice called out, speaking as if from everywhere in the cave.
"Do not worry little one, Longtail is fine. He just needs a moment to rest." The voice was soft, commanding, and at the same time, had a motherly quality to it.

Upon hearing this new voice, Pearl smiled and hugged Longtail who blushed in return.

"I think I know who it is," Kai said. Even though he had never heard the voice before, he could tell by just how it sounded who it was and how she was connected to Longtail.

Veli looked around amazed. "Wow...I wonder what other spirits are here now."

Dante smiled and replied.
"Yeah, I think I know who this is too."

The voice chuckled and responded, 'So, then Kia and Dante, who to you believe me to be hmm?"

Longtail was still blushing as Pearl held him close and gave a warm smile of comfort.

"Longtail's mother," Kai grinned confidently. Chomper, Rita, Tyr, and Veli all looked around. "Hi Mrs. Longtail's mom, I'm Chomper, and this is Rita," Chomper said respectfully, giving Rita a quick kiss. "I'm Tyra," said Tyra giving Kai a kiss also

"Good day madame, I am Cayso, and this is my brother Racnar." - Cayso saluted Longtail's mother with a reverence, Racnar saluted too, but he still has that eerie sensation from before, but he thinks he may be just because all of this greatly defies what he knows of reality and maybe even what's can be considered as logical.

"Well, you little ones seem to have very good instincts, and they serve you well. You are right Kai, I am Longtails mother, but all of you may call me Soul." said Longtail's mother with a hint of pride.

Pearl then stood up and commented, "Hello Soul...my name is Pearl. It is very nice to meet you, and the other flyer over there is my father..." Unfortunately she was cut off as Soul sopke.

"Diamond...such a long time. How have you been?" Soul asked

"Oh! Is that you, Diamond? You've certainly grown some since I saw you last!"
Came another voice, this one decidedly male. When he heard it, Dante perked up, his eyes brightening...
"Is that you...Arius?"

Kai smiled as Tyra kissed him, and quickly gave her a kiss in return.
"So...This is really happening, huh? Wow...This is so...cool..."
He said, looking around the cave again, awestruck...

(Oh, and before I forget, Good job with temping Dante and Kai, Brekclub and GVG!)

Chomper and Rita were wondering what other spirits had entered the cavern.

Dante nodded.
"Yeah. Arius found me after I was chased out of my herd. He taught me how to survive on my own, and sorta got me to the Great Valley. He's about the closest I have to a father."
He said, smiling at the memories...

Tyra nodded a bit sadly. "Somewhat a lack of a father figure, that's something I have too," she said, sadly remembering her parent's deaths. "It's good we have friends with us and back at the herds."

Diamond looked confused. "What do you mean herds?" he asked curiously. "I thought sharpteeth lived by themselves."
