"We're ok," Rita roared back. "As am I," Tyra added from her bubble.

"Mom, dad?" Chomper asked again.

Meanwhile on the island, everything went back. Redclaw and Pearl's parents knew they were still alive and well, but everything was black right down.

"We're alright, Chomper. Just a little...shaken."
Chomper's mother said in a calming voice, looking around at everyone.

On the island, a soft sigh came from Dante.
"Heh... not too shabby...Longtail..."
He said weakly. As the island landed, he had hit the ground wrong, and was now impaled through the chest with his own sword and wingtips.
"I can...honestly...say that...I'm glad I was with you...at the...end for me...my friend..."
He gasped, then, with one final smile, his head fell, and he lay still...

Kai suddenly gasped, as the Sankakku drained away his strength.
"Wha...What's happening? I feel so..."
He shuddered, the collapsed, his heart too weak to keep going...

"Kid!" Redclaw panicked, looking down at Kai. "This is bad," Diamond said nervously. "Cayso?! Kai?! Longtail?! you ok?!" the father flyer and Redclaw yelled.

Kai lay still, barely alive, and he heard Tyra's voice in his head.
"Ty...Tyra, I'm so...so sorry...I guess...I won't ever get to be...your...your mate. This is...as far as I think...I'm...meant to go. But...I'll never forget you...ever...I will always...love you..."
He thought to her, as he fell completely and finally into the abyss of death...

"Kai, you cannot.....you cannot be...." Redclaw said in scared anger. "You just can't be!"

Just then, something happened to Redclaw that never happened before to him. His body began glowing white. Just then, some of the white emitting from his body flew off him and onto Kai. Redclaw felt himself getting slightly weaker, but it's as if....some of Redclaw's energy was being transferred into Kai!

Longtail would've heard Dante, but his neck was bent at an unnatural angle, and his heart had stopped beating. But the most surprising thing happened: He opened his eyes. He tried to stand, but his legs were trapped under a boulder and most likely crushed. He sighed as he said, "D-Dante...I know...you can....hear me. Now stand up, and help me...is...is everybody else okay?

Pearl was crying, as she held her heart, feeling as if a part of her had just dissapeared. She then felt sick to her stomach and fell over crying. "It....it can't...be...no...not now...thry're....all dead...NO!!!!!"

Sheila was still trying to figure out how this was all happening, but she was glad they were safe, but at hearing Pearl scream she turned and tried her best to comfort the young flyer.
"What's wrong? What do you mean they are all dead?! You can't mean you're friends on the island!"

Thgen, the light stopped being transfered into Kai. Redclaw looked down, and he could swear he saw movement!

He went over to Longtail. "Hold on," he said to the flyer, pushing the boulder off.

Near to where Redclaw was, Cayso was inertly lying in the ground, then a voice sounded on his head - "Wake up!" - the kid's eyes opened abruptly and then he began standing up, very painfully and since he was somewhat closer to Longtail he went to see him. - "You are caught in your last moment of life... Don't you know something? a Guardian chant or spell to recover your life force?." - Cayso grabbed his ribs as he was wounded too - "Is there a way, for us to not let you die?."

In the mean time, Racnar spoke loudly, so Longtail's father could listen - "Something went wrong... in the island. Is there a way... we can help you son?"

Kai's spirit took form above his body, and smiled at Redclaw.
"Red...I really appreciate what you're trying to do for me...but I think it was fate that I was supposed to die here... but it's been...wonderful to have known you all...And...Tell Tyra that I'll always be with her, even though she can't see me..."
He said, a single ghostly tear falling down his snout...

Dante lay where he fell, his spirit standing over his fallen body.
"This...I guess this was fate. We were meant to die here...to make sure...that this island would continue to exist...that's why...we were here..."
He said, though his sadness was clear in his face...

Vayne looked at the island he had always called home.
"So they...did they sacrifice themselves...for our home?"
He asked, looking at the island again with sadness...

For quite possibly the first time in his life, a tear was going down Redclaw's eye. "Really?!" he said, laughing and tearing up at the same time. "You were one of the funniest, smartest, toughest, nice to mention most charatible sharpteeth I know, you just can't die yet!"

Longtail laughed, rather hoarsly as his throat wasn't properly aligned. He then smiled and said "Well this is new...I'm still in my body, but you two are spirits. I wonder why I haven't passed...on...." He was suddenly hit with an idea.
He turned to Dante and Kai as he said, "I think...I'm supposed to bring you two back to life...and then I can pass on as well.

Longtail's father looked to the island and said, "I'm more than willing to try! Please stay here!" He then dissapeared in a flash of light.

"Like Dante said...our spirits are going to remain here. We're going to guard this place...for an eternity. That's why...I can't come back. I'm sorry..."

A flash of light appeared in the cave. "Redclaw and Diamond turned, and saw that it was Longtail's father!

Cayso closed his eyes and fists as he feel anger and frustration - "This cannot be happening, this was just not supposed to be... there must be something for us to do... to put things right again!" - He then saw the flash of light as well - "Please... save them."

Longtails father sighed and lowered his head. "Well boys, it seems you've made quite the mess. And my son...you, you have a lot of evplaining to do to the Guardian council. Your time for judgement has come."

Longtail, sighed as he looked at the floor not wanting to meet his fathers gaze, but another flash of light appeared and Soul was standing next to Longtail.
"He's right Longtail." She then turned to Dante and Kia and asked, "You two are also able to help him in his trial."
