Longtail screamed in pain as he felt his tail grabbed by the clawhand's mouth. He then realized he was close enough to some serious damage as he aimed for and scratched across the surface of her right eye! "JUST DIE!!!" he cried out as he continued to claw at her eye in an attempt to rip it out.

When the little flyer slashed across her right eye, the sailed clawhand shook her head violently from side to side, shaking the small flyer. Still holding the flyer by the tail, she turned around and started to run off into the distance.

Longtail continued trying to scratch at any open wounds he could to try and cause more pain to the now moving calwhanded sharptooth...and he had to admit..with his tail in it's mouth he was getting more and more annoyed.

Redfoot was about to ask Ateo what he meant by his question when he heard a sound...it was familiar, but different...almost like....

"A SHARPTOOTH!" shouted Redfoot as he turned and faced the entrance closest to his nest.

"O-oh no!" Kit said as she saw the sailed clawhand walking off with Longtail, though Longtail was still fighting.

"Do you still think he doesn't need help!" she said worriedly, "come on, we gotta make sure he doesn't get hurt" she flapped after.

"but...wouldn't telling the adults be better?" Twiz asked, turning to Littlefoot.

Ateo's head quickly turned in the direction Redfoot was facing. "What perfect timing... This is what I had in mind." Ateo glanced up at Redfoot. "If you save this valley from a vicious sharptooth, maybe they would trust in you again."

The sailed sharptooth didn't realize what she was headed as she continued to clamp down on the long tailed flyer. She wanted to speak, but feared if she moved her jaws, the flyer would get free. She wanted to kill the flyer and take him back to her babies, but she needed to get as far away from his friends as she could.

She found a rocky area with an opening and quickly went in there, hoping to escape the flyer's friends if they were following her.

Longtail knew that if this sharptooth didn't let go of his tail he might lose it! So he did what he could and continued to claw and bite and slash at calwhand's eye and get her to let go.

Redfoot couldn't help but smile at the opportunity and said aloud, "Of course! I'll do my duty and protect this valley! From the sharptooth."

Twiz darted after Kit to get the grown-ups, fully expecting Kit to follow along, but she didn't. Instead she darted forward, not really recklessly diving at the sharptooth before she had a plan, but also knowing they shouldn't lose sight of them.

As she followed along she noticed where they were heading and gasped. "Oh no...".

"Hey! Stop!" she cried, trying to get the sailed clawhand's attention yet otherwise keep quiet. She flew over to push against the sailed clawhands snout, maybe helping Longtail get free but also just trying to push her in the other direction, "Hold up, that's the flatooth's Valley!" she said desperately, "and Redfoot, he's really mean".

Longtail finally had had enough and using all the force he could muster he bit down on one the Clawhand's teeth knowing they were just as sensitive as the rest of her. He continued applying pressure trying to get her to let go of his tail!
'I hope my friends are doing something to help me instead of standing around and arguing...' commented Longtail mentally.

Littlefoot managed to get his parents, his grandparents, Veli, Dein, Terri, and Tera to help.

"Longtail's in danger!" he explained.

Terri turned to face Littlefoot and in a moment of stunned panic she shouted a bit loudly "WHAT?! What do you mean he's in danger?!"

Redfoot stepped in front of the Clawhand and stomped his foot down, as he bellowed, "Leave our valley you sharptooth!" Then he noticed exactly what was in her jaws and his eyes bulged for a moment. "YOU?!" He asked rather stunned that the child had indeed survived their last encounter!

Longtail heard Redfoot speak but it didn't matter at the moment...he just wanted his tail free! He then thought of something...and let his body go limp simply hanging by his tail now still locked in the Clawhand's mouth.

"Yes Mrs. Chomper's mom!" Littlefoot replied. He turned to his parents.

"Mom, dad, he's near Flatoooth Valley!" he cried to Tyran and Saura. "A clawhand's got him, and Redfoot might be coming by!"

Rato lifted up his head when he heard shouts coming from one direction. He couldn't make out very many words, except Flattooth Valley, Clawhand, and Longtail. His eyes narrowed softly. Could it be that Ateo character again?

The sailed clawhand felt the flyer go limp in her jaws, but she didn't care. Normally, this would have satisfied her, but she now had her eyes set on a much more pleasing target. Her hatchlings would be set for a long time if she could bring down the longneck standing before her.

Releasing her grip on the flyer and letting him fall, the female sharptooth opened her jaws and roared.

Longtail hit the ground with a thud and he stayed still for a moment just to make sure he didn't try to draw attention to himself. He then realized he should probably move so he wouldn't get stepped on, and thats what he did he rolled out of the way as Redfoot began to step forward.

Redfoot stepped forward and bellowed a warning as he whipped his tail around trying to knock the clawhand off balance.

From where she'd followed, the sailedclaw hand not paying any heed to her pleas to turn back, of course, Kit crept out from some trees she'd hidden behind to where Longtail now was.

"Pst, Longtail" she whispered, "you ok?" she approached. Her attention was next drawn by the beginnings of a fight between the sailed clawhand and Redfoot, "Oh, this does not look like it'll be good..." she muttered rhetorically, and of course of all places they had to be right next to Flattooth Valley again!

The sailed clawhand roared in pain as the longneck's tail slammed against her, knocking her to the ground. She glanced up at the longneck and roared.

Ateo was about to step forward, but stopped himself. He decided he should let Redfoot take care of this monster. That way, he can take full credit for saving the valley from the beast.

"Yeah just down here!" Twiz helped Littlefoot guide the grown-ups back to where they were. "Oh I hope we get there in time" he muttered as he flapped along next to the young sharptooth.
