"It was indeed the moonbow," Hans replied. Some arcs of blue lightning danced across his fur and clothing but he did not seem to notice.

Deimos nodded. "Thank you," he said. He then ran out of the room, following Scooby and Fred.

"Strange, nothing seems to have changed," Mr. Bigmouth said.

Deimos was the first to arrive at the Mystery Machine. He got to work hitching up the autocannon to the van. He checked the magazine of the autocannon. It was full.

Since the telescope was occupied and being used Jason took out a small pair of electrobinoculars, similar to the ones seen in star wars, and went to where he could see the are the telescope was looking at.

Moran came over to where Jason was, "Could the rest of us have a look?" He asked. Jason reached into a pocket, still looking at the area and holding the pocket pc in one hand and using it's telepathic controls linked it to the electrobinoculars he was using and had it activate the holographic emiters so multiple folks could see and he handed it to Moran.

"Sure. " Jason said handing over the electronic to Daphne. He then went to where Moran was, who handed the pda back. He adjusted the holographic output so it was larger. He thought it best to hide the magic he could do, in case of any spies or moles, that way it would be a surprise, much like his morpher saber that he had and some other things.

"I think they already know," Rime replied.

Tarrax noticed more droones circling around the hotel as he flew over the tops of the Hotel " sara theres a drone of your left.. take it out!"

Deimos leapt out of the van, snapped a launch tube into the control unit and aimed. He checked to make sure no one was behind him and there was a clear space so the backblast from the missile did no damage. He waited until a beep signaled a lock on. he then pressed the trigger and the missile flew from the launch tube and streaked into the night sky.

A few moments later, an explosion lit up the sky as the missile blasted apart the drone.

Deimos tossed the spent launch tube aside and loaded another one.

At Pelvanida II several technicians were working at the open air command center. The night air provided a welcome relief from the blazing Nevadan sun.

The visual feed from one of the Helios IV drones abruptly cut out as it was destroyed.

"Chong! One of the Helios IV drones above the Inglorious Hotel has been destroyed! Most likely by a surface to air missile!" a Badger technician reported

A Rattlesnake technician at Pelvanida II examined the camera feed from the other Inglorious Hotel Helios IV drones. Sara and Tarrax were clearly visible on the screen. Without hesitation, he ordered the drones to launch Sidewinder anti-air missiles at the two.

"You idiot!" the Goat shouted. "You just alerted them to our presence!"

"So, they already know the drones are present? They'll try to shoot them down regardless so why not try to take at least one of the them down?" the technician countered.

The three drones obeyed and fired a salvo of three missiles at the two Dragons.

"Fred and Shaggy! Man the autocannon! Just we careful of where you're shooting!" Deimos ordered, scanning the night sky for more targets.

Tarrax heard the hum of the missile and let forth a rush of flame from his mouth. the missile exploded with a loud bang as it hit the stream of white hot fire and the explosion was clearly visible from the hotel.

You have just alerted them completely and lost the element of surprise Chong Scoffed. " he frowned as he watched Tarrax destroy the first missile then a second. he turned to watch the third missile head towards Sara
_ Shaggy and Freddy helped load the cannon as quickly as possible. " Ready to fire!" shaggy called out. " Um, you're the expert! its all yours" shaggy said fumbling with the cannon slightly
Tarrax destroyed the second missile then noticed the third was heading towards Sara " Blast it Sara!" he roared in a deep growl.

Jason reached into a pocket and pulled out his wrap around sensor glasses to get a better look at what the telescope was looking at as well as looking to see how Sara and Tarrax were doing.

"Quite a firefight up there from the looks of it." Brooklyn said shielding his eyes as he looked up.

Sara breathed her dragonfire at the missile coming towards her, adding in a quick spell to add in a bit of emp burst as well into her dragonfire. She then looked to see where the next drone was to be taken out.

the flare and spell destroyed the missile with ease and the fiery remains of the drone plunged to the ground "Nice work' Tarrax beamed as he flew towards the remaining Drones " Knock them out of the sky, either by tearing them to pieces withbyour claws or my melting them with fire." tarrax said.

Those dragons are powerful' Chong said as another drone was destroyed "So they do have some form of air defense, a very good one..' He muttered to himself.

Deimos locked onto one of the remaining drones and fired. A hail of metal shrapnel rained down as the drone exploded. He tossed the spent launch tube aside and readied another one.

He noticed two other drones swooping low and he could see that they were armed with a set of rocket pods. "Freddy! Shaggy! We've got one incoming! Open fire!" he shouted over the explosions.

The last three drones turned towards Tarrax and Sara and fired off their entire set of Sidewinder anti-air missiles at the two Dragons. In total, six missiles streaked towards the two.

Deimos locked onto one of the three drones and fired. A few minutes later, an explosion signaled the demise of one of them.

"[censored]!" Deimos shouted, "I'm out of rockets!"

"Chong! We have other Helios IV drones but they are currently at 75,000 feet. They are taking pictures but I have ordered them to do nothing else," the Goat said. He then glared at the Rattlesnake technician. "And any attempt at changing their commands will be dealt with severely!" he said.

"Nova II combat drones are also being prepared as well. These are much more heavily armed than the Helios IV spy drones. They carry up to 3,500 pounds of anti tank missiles, bombs or rocket pods," a Beaver technician said. He was reading the list of aircraft that were being prepared.

Do not fire" Chong said angrily. " Do you wish to reveal our hand completely? who not tell them how many troops we have while you are at it?" He snapped. "Observe, but do nothing more Any more missiles get fired, and I'm having some roast meat for dinner!

Tarrax let forth another stream of fire and burned away the missiles targeting him. ' sara, two on your left" He called out.

Scooby held on tight to the passenger seat as Fred began backing the Mystery Machine back over the pavement.. "Rets ret rhis rover rith ro Ri ran ret rack ro Rixie" he said.

Deimos looked at the approaching drones. "Shaggy! We're right on target!" He then activated the automated turret. Almost immediately, the autocannon roared to life. A hail of tracer and explosive ammunition stitched the night sky as the turret locked onto the two drones and began firing. The drones bobbed and weaved as they tried to dodge the hail of 20 mm shells but ultimately they were unsuccessful and the drones exploded in a ball of flame.

They were so close that the shockwave rocked the Mystery Machine.

"I think that's the last of them," Deimos said.

He then noticed that the cannon was attempting to lock onto Sara and Tarrax. Deimos quickly shut the turret down before it could fire.

Deimos turned to Shaggy, Scooby and Fred. "If you see any more drones, try to manually shoot them. The targeting computers apparently tried to lock onto Tarrax and Sara," he said.

The entire Pelvanida Group stared at the night sky as the battle raged overhead.

"Looks like Deimos has got that autocannon working," Zachary said, looking at the streaks of red fire from the tracer rounds.

"Good, we'll need it and probably several more," Rime added.

Jason watched as Sara used her dragonfire on the missiles and any drones closest to where she was.

"Quite a firefight. Reminds me of the big one, thought there was a large fire raging about too in parts of the city." Moran said also looking up.

_ Stripetail smiled as he turned away from the telescope " Well we at least have an air defense thanks to Tarrax and Sara..
_ Thats wouldn't be good, although given the way they shoot fire I think they could disable a turret..

Spyro and Cynder had watched the foiight with intense appreciation. They both had been involved in firefights before, but they were very impressed with Tarrax's performance. Cynder personally perfered Sara's methods..having used magic herself..
_ Fred looked at Deimos ; i don't see any more of those drone things.. we can head back now.

Chong watched the final drone be destroyed. "Mr Goat, we will have to reassess our invasion strategies, the hotel currently will be very heavily guarded, and their breath can take out missiles and drones.
