Well there certainly was a kingdom's crown i n there. Stripetail said heading into the room. On a table there was a small chest with a keyhole that looked like it would fit the key thatr franz had found. Try that key on that chest and see whats inside..' stripetail said.

Franz did as he was told. The chest opened to reveal another key, this one appeared to be carved from solid obsidian. He pulled the key out and showed it to Stripetail. "Hmm. Now all we need to do is find a keyhol that it belongs to," he said.

"Okay so we found treasure? So where exactly is the keyhole?" Dr. Zanasiu asked.

Dr. Kerzach picked up one of the scrolls and carefully unraveled it. It bore the symbol for fire. "Stripetail, you said that demons like heat?"

"I'll go check out the stove," Mr. Bigmouth said. He then retreated to the kitchen.

The revelers at Surf Point were enjoying a night festival. Today was the annual Poseidon Festival that showcased all of Surf Point's seafood. A fishing competition.

Loud music blared over the town square as the revelers danced. All of a sudden, a tackle shop near the beach exploded.

Several more explosions tore through the night sky as the submunitions from the ballistic missile rained down and exploded, cratering the beach, destroying buildings and sending people running.

Back at Pelvanida II, the Helios IV spy drones were showing the carnage wreaked by the ballistic missile.

"How's that?" the driver of the launcher asked. He was now watching the screen.

Mr. Bigmouth entered the kitchen and began examining the oven. He noticed that it wobbled slightly. Out of curiosity he noticed that there was what seemed to be a keyhole in the back. He returned to the main room.

"Guys, the oven's got a keyhole in the back," he said.

Deimos closed his eyes and sniffed the air. "Yeah, it smells like something's burning," he said.

Rime sniffed the air as well. "I smell it too!"

"I'm going to see what's up," Zachary said. He then climbed up the stairs and headed to the lobby.

There, the burning smell got even stronger.

Surf Point's fire and first aid units were on the scene and they were trying their best to deal with the number of dead and injured and they were trying to put out the fires that had been started by the conventional warheads.

All of the first responders wore fully encapsulated haz-mat suits as a precaution because due to reports of a strange odor.

Captain Milos was on scene as were several SPVDF troopers, all of them wore the same haz-mat suits as the rest of the group. He contacted Stripetail.

"Stripetail, this is Captain Milos. Surf Point has been hit by a missile and it appears to have been carrying some sort of chemical weapon. We think it is a blister agent. Milos out," he said into his radio.

(OOC - I assume Stripetail has a radio.)

Stripetail's face grew hard as he heard Milos' report "Get here as soon as possible Captain. We believe the enemy is using advaced drones to scout out the area. We knocked down a few of them, but there are likely many more around Surf point..
_ great.. as If I didn't have enough problem on my plate.. we have dozens if not hundreds wounded, who knows how many dead, and this likely just a warning shot...I'll be up there tommorow if I can..

" To whom it may concern, if you are reading these, then you have managed to find most of the clues i've hidden throughout my hotel. you have shown great courage abd ingenuity in getting this far. the final 3 clues are hidden in library among the books, i tell you this because my strength is leaving me, i have failed to defeat the demon that keeps the curse on my hotel, and the battle has left me broken, and my time on this earth runs short.. suceed wghere i have failed, and free the souls trapped in my hotel!

"We must help them as soon as we get the opportunity," Setsuna added.

Mr. Bigmouth picked up the obsidian key and stuck it into the key hole in the oven. To his surprise, a few clicks were heard and Mr. Bigmouth was able to push the oven back. A ramp seemed to lead into the darkness and a sulfurous odor with a blast of heat came from the ramp. He then returned to the main area.

"There's another entrance under the oven. And judging from the heat and sulfurous odor; it may be the home of the demon," he said.

likely " stripetail said " first. though to the library, the last few clues are hidden in there. the first owner of the hotel hid them there because his strength was waning, he tried to defeat the demon and failed.."

"Well, let's say we head to the library?" Dr. Zanasiu asked.

"Perhaps we should lock the entrance," Zachary said.

Mr. Bigmouth returned to the kitchen and locked the entrance to the demon's lair. He then stuck the key in his leaf pouch.
