A loud banging could be heard. It's too bad that everyone in the surrounding rooms were still trying to sleep. Otherwise, they might have come to see what the ruckus was all about.
"The door won't budge," Genki stated. "Come on Tigress, can't you just blast the door down?"
"There has to be another way. I can't destroy public propery," Tigress replied, still in a low, quiet voice that was very unlike her.
Genki sighed. What could he say to sway her? She hates breaking others' things. "Hey Tigress, Tiger is on the top of your priority list right now, right?"
Tiger always was, but Tigress simply said, "Yes."
"In that case, why do you seem more worried about a door than him?"he asked.
"I-" then she suddenly paused, taken back by such a question. She glanced up at him. "Do humans always have such a way with words?" she asked, a smile now completely formed on her face.
"No, but we try," Genki answered, returning her smile.
Tigress walked over to be somewhere between six and seven feet away from the door. Genki, being no fool, did not have to be told but instead came over and stood beside her.
Electric energy radiated from each of the ends of her horns, and flickered brightly like a pulse. It had a blue tinted aura, and it was released in two semi straight bolts. It hit the door dead on, but not only completely destroyed it, but damaged the surrounding walls.
"Uh, oops?" was all Tigress could say.
"Whoa, that was even stronger than Tiger's!" Genki said in amazement.
"Oh, it really isn't. The Lightning attack simply increases in power as it's charged. It takes a bit of time as you saw, so it can be difficult to use in battle, so Tiger normally just fires it right away. But if he charged it like I had, the walls wouldn't have been damaged; they would no longer be there."
"Wow," was all Genki could say.
Then Tigress spoke up. "Come on! We have to find him!" Tigress bolted out of the room, unintentionally leaving Genki behind. When she realized, she darted back and said, "Get on."
"Uh, okay." He climbed on to her back, and she took off.
"Hey, Tigress?"
"Hmmm?"
"How do we find him?"
"With our noses silly," she responded. "Oh, that's right. Humans can't follow scent trails very well," remembering something she had read. "Don't worry. Leave it to me!"
Tiger's scent was not difficult to pick up at all. In fact, even a human could smell it to some degree. Tiger does tend to sweat heavily when he gets worked up. The two of them began heading in his direction, all the while Tigress thinking of how to approach him...
