"Come on, Agumina! You've been in the shower for over an hour. The hot water must have run out a while ago, judging from this hotel's quality. What are you doing in there?" a human boy asked.
"I'm taking a shower, Tai," she answered him.
"Yeah, I gathered that, but why is it taking so long?" he asked impatiently.
"This isn't long at all, considering who's waiting for us. I have to be more than clean," she answered.
Tai sighed heavily. "You know, when we were together in the Digital World, he rarely bathed at all, so I don't think he'll mind that you only took about an hour to get cleaned up. The longer you take, the longer you're making him wait. Do you want him to just expect us all day?"
The water shut off. A few moments later, a peach colored digimon came out, wrapped in a towel.
"What are you wearing?" he asked her in surprise.
"A towel," she answered.
"I know that, but why are you wearing one? The Agumon type never wears clothes. You have nothing to hide," he explained, getting worked up at this point.
"I'm only trying to do what you humans do," she said innocently.
"Uh yeah, but humans have a reason to do that. Now come on, let's find "The Great" Agumon," Tai said, grabbing her claw and dragging her out of the room into the hallway, then proceded onward. He glanced at her. "Really, must you get so worked up over him all the time?"
"Uh, Tai, perhaps you should watch where-"
"Tigress, you're going too fast! Look out!" another human boy yelled.
The noise was difficult to explain. It sounded like two humans, a monster, and a digimon crashing into each other. There is nothing else to add.
"Did someone get the license number on whatever it was that hit me?" Tai said, still too in shock to stand up.
"Tigress, I know you're concernced about him, but try to be concernced about every else in the world, okay?" Genki said, though not angrily, but trying to humorously lighten the situation while he struggled to stand up.
The monster and digimon however, used to being battered far worse, had little difficulty recovering and so were quickly on their feet.
"Are you okay?" Tigress asked Genki and Agumina asked Tai at the same time.
"Yeah," they both answered respectively to the one who asked him. The boys looked at each other. Genki managed to get up first, offering his hand to the other while saying, "here," though half expecting an angry response. To his surprise, Tai reached for the offered help, pulled himself up, and replied, "Thank you."
They were each about to introduce themselves, but respectively remembered their situations. "It's nice to meet you. But we're kinda in a hurry. Could you excuse us?" Tai asked.
"Sure!" Genki replied. "Honestly, we need to get somewhere too. Perhaps we can introduce ourselves if we meet again."
"Good idea," Tai responded. Turning to the digimon, he said, "Alright Agumina, let's get going," as he headed toward the cafeteria.
"Coming!" she called, but only after bowing her head to the monster.
"It was nice running into you, although I don't mean that in the literal sense," Tigress called back. Then she paused.
Noticing, Genki asked her, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," she answered slowly, "It's just that they're heading the same way we are."
"Huh?"
"Tiger's scent is leading that way too. Looks like we're all going one way," she said.
Genki, not wanting another ride at the moment, simply jogged beside her as they caught up to the human and digimon.
"Huh?" Tai said, turning around. "Is something the matter?" he asked them.
"No, but we're heading this way too," Genki told them. "Mind if we tag along?"
Tai and Agumina looked at each other. "Sure, but no more running in the halls," he replied.
"Gotcha!" Genki said back.
Very soon, they arrived in the large dining room, with food everywhere. Although, none of the four of them were looking at edibles at the moment. A friend was all that was on each of their minds as they scanned the area.
"I don't see Tiger anywhere," Genki said, pointing out the obvious.
Tigress lowered her head. She may be able to go days without sleep, but she sure can't keep up with a scent trail very long without her rest. She had gotten tired from sniffing so much and running at that speed for as long as she had.
Finally, she looked up at Genki. "I don't know what to do anymore. We just have to find him, but I really wish we had some help doing it. I'm just a little tired right now," she said, as she lowered her head once more.
