Jason was finished examining a person who had taken refuge in the hotel and had not heard of the troubles yet, not being in the right parts of the hotel to have heard.

"Just take this pill and in 20 to 45 minutes you'll have the same kidneys as when you were 20." Jason said as he handed a pill over to the person and a small cup of essential water. No need, he tough to go into detail about the pill being nanites that would fix the kidneys and repair them to the condition they were in when the person was around 20 years old then would leave the body.

Jason then went on his rounds with Guilmon at his side.

Pete went to the room where Tik-tok was controlling the data sheet monitor to watch some cartoons. They were playing an episode of the Super Hero Squad Show, then following that an episode of the Animaniacs.

Ms. Swimmer stepped through the Great Valley portal. "Everyone, the funeral services are beginning," she said.

The bodies of the SPVDF soldiers and the Great Valley archers and slingers were piled on a massive pyre in front of the Thundering Falls Lake at the Great Valley.

It was now nighttime in the valley and the rest of the dinosaurs were gathered at the lake.

Stripetail passed through the portal. followed by Tarrax, Spyro, Cynder Hunter, Agumon, And Agumina, Genki, Tiger and Tigeress were next.. Nick came next, his hands banaged.. the incoming group gathered around the pile of bodies.. And Stripetail stepped forward " If I may, Sir,' He said to Grandpa LOngneck " i would like to say a few words."

Stripetail climbed up near the pyre and spoke " This night, we mourn these men and dinosaurs who fell in freeing the Inglorious Hotel from its long curse. These creatures died heroically, trying to do what is right.. They were friends , family, brothers, cousins, and their loss has impacted us all. They will be missed....." stripetail paused.. in his long life he had been to many funerals, more than he could count..they never got easier to attend as the years went on.. "Archers when you are ready" He said to the archers standing nearly with flaminf arrows, who would light the pyre when he was finished. "Send them home.."

Points of light flickered around the pyre as the archers lit their arrows.

After a few seconds, they fired their arrows. The arrows left burning trails in sky as they arced towards the pyre.

They pyre burst into flame, forcing those who were near it to step back.

There was no sound except for the crackling of the fire as everyone present paid their respects.

the silence lasdted for a goodwhile, as the flames consumed the bodies, first t the humans and the smaller fast runners then the large dinosaurs.. the flames cast flickering and casting weird shadows on the walls..

Moran and the Extreme dinosaurs stood by silently and a short distance off a future version of Jason stood quietly, wrap around sunglasses and a hat on with Guilmon beside him, looking the same as the other Guilmon in the hotel.

In the hotel Pete was still watching some cartoons, with the scarecrow taking over the controls from Tik-tok so he could be would up and see if he was needed elsewhere. The present day Jason was doing his rounds, caring for any injured who needed it and seeing how some in general were doing, as was Odysseus who was doing some rounds also.

The pyre had burned out and the dinosaurs scattered the ashes around the Thundering Falls Lake. Several other dinosaurs took the bones and carried them away to the so-called "Field of Heroes".

Raptix went up to Deimos. "Hey, Deimos, how's it been?" the small purple-blue feathered fastbiter asked.

Deimos shrugged. "Good. How are the herbs going?"

"We're making some more arrows and poisons," he replied. He then turned to Stripetail. "Who is he?" he asked.

"That's Stripetail, our commander."

"What's a 'commander'?"

"Another term for leader," Deimos replied.

Raptix nodded.

"Stripetail, I already did draw up some rules for the refugees. They can pitch tents or build small shelters out of the local materials. Also, firearms and explosives are forbidden in the Great Valley," Mr. Bigmouth said.
