Ms. Swimmer nodded and entered the Great Valley through the portal.
When she arrived, at the Great Valley's Thundering Falls Lake she was greeted to an amazing sight.
Several squads of dinosaurs were present along with the valley's civilians and refugees. Most of squads were slinger and archer corps but quite a few speardinos as well as dinosaurs wielding clubs, staves and hammers were present.
"We await our command," Grandpa Longneck said.
"Commander Stripetail has ordered mobilization," Ms. Swimmer said.
"Troops! Onward to victory!" Mr. Threehorn bellowed.
The gathered civilians and refugees waved off the saurian warriors as they filed through the portal.
-----------------------
"Good," Deimos said eating some salted fish.
Cpl. McCoun's voice came through on Stripetail's radio. "Cmdr. Stripetail, I am sending over some men to set up machine gun positions in appropriate places. Your call as to where they go. McCoun out."
Setsuna entered the dining room. She appeared extremely tired. "Hot tea please,"
Haresh came out of the kitchen with some cups of steaming hot tea.
Setsuna gratefully took a cup as did Dr. Zanasiu, who had just entered the kitchen in full armor and with his shotgun strapped across his back.
Strut, Zachary and Dr. Kerzach, all fully armed and armored entered the kitchen.
Strut adjusted his helmet slightly. "I hope Nick's all ready to rock and roll," he said, yawning.
"We will need some people to do logistics too," Dr. Kerzach said, drinking some tea.
"Like what? Making weapons, repairing damage, treating the injured, providing supplies, that sort of stuff," Deimos replied.
"Is that safer?" an elderly Iguana asked.
"Not really. They should still carry weapons for self defense, obviously," Rime cut in.
"Speaking of which, have we evacuated the children, elderly, pregnant and ill?" Zachary asked, between mouthfuls of fruit.
Some of the remaining refugees and guards also filed in to have breakfast.
