Insane Cafe 3: The Curse of the Haunted Hotel

Satisfied the fire was out Jason and Guilmon looked to see what areas needed to be cleaned and what took smoke damage.  Also what should be moved where.

Deimos came out of the bathroom. This time, he was wearing a simple bandioler as he decided to store his armor in the closet until he needed it.

He headed to the lobby and found the guilty Wolverine smoking another cigarette in the lobby.

"The commander and owner would like to see you," Deimos said coldly.

"In a moment," the Wolverine replied.

"Now!" Deimos roared.

The Wolverine quickly ground out his cigarette and leapt to his feet.

Deimos led him to Briggins. "Here's the suspect," Deimos said.

[MrDrake]

"So, are you sure you didn't do anything?" Drake asked Eevee with an arched eyebrow.

"I'm sure of it, I just put something on the stove to cook and seconds later, it burst into flames....all that was in it was some of that rum stuff, vinegar and a carrot at least" Eevee answered back.

"And you managed to cause a fire just by using those three things?" Drake asked back as Eevee nodded her head.

[Serris]

Haresh sighed. "Eevee, rum can burn under certain conditions,. Next time you cook with alcohol, especially liquor, always watch it. I guess we can consider this a learning experience," he said.

[MrDrake]

"Yeah....I guess..." Eevee looked down, coughing some more as well as the smoke was still in her lungs, coughing rather badly still.

"Something needs to be done about her.....she shouldn't be coughing like that, I mean, it seems like she had inhaled some of the smoke from the fire" Drake told Haresh.

[Nick22]

Your stupidity nearly destroyed my hotel!' Briggins said harshly to the wolverine. " of all the places to smoke around here - and there are many , I might add_ you chose the place where the weapons and explosives are stored? where is your common sense, man? Had that fire reached the weapons and ignited them , nearly every single person staying in this hotel would be killed by the explosion, and Chong and Dragonstorm would be completely unopposed as they take over this area! I'd yell at you some more, but the wizard will want a piece of you too.. his room is Number 300. Take him there Deimos.. if I were you, sir, I'd be prepared for the worst.." He said to the wolverine "War is not a time to suffer fools.."

[Serris]

Deimos nodded and dragged the Wolverine to room 300.

He knocked on the door. "Stripetail, I have the suspect," Deimos said.

[Nick22]

Let him in" came the reply' Stripetail was sitting in a chair near the table, his eyes narrowed at the wolverine who entered his room. " So you're the one responsible for the fire in the magazine. What in the heavens were you thinking? if your cigarette had ignited our weapons, virtually everyone here would have been killed, and this hotel would be reduced to rubble. Our enemy would sweep across this region, completely unopposed, thanks to your stupidity. What is your name?' he demanded of the wolverine.

[Serris]

"Logan Johnson," the Wolverine replied.

"Stripetail, I have already made it clear that I will personally shoot the next person who smokes in the magazine," Deimos said. He then turned to Logan. "And you, Mr. Johnson, I do not want to see another f---ing cigarette near the magazine! Do I make myself clear!?"

[Nick22]

Stripetail nodded. "Mr Johnson, how long have you been in the service?" he glared in Logan's direction. 'Deimos here is not bluffing, eityer, he will, I assure you, act on his threat..

[Serris]

"What service? I was never part of any military force," he replied. "Granted, I worked in the mining business in Southport," he added.

"You worked in the mining business," Deimos said coldly. "You should know better than to smoke around explosives!"

Meanwhile, the magazine had been completely cleaned up and some of the refugees nailed a large sign that read: "No smoking. Violators will be shot" to the wall.

so you're a volunteer, then? well then your experience in mining should have served to stop you from smoking there, alas it did not. Now the question, what to do with you? Confine to your room for a week, solitary night duty for the next few days..something to send a message that poor decisions have consequences, and your poor decision could have had very very serious consequences if not for quick action by our volunteers . Stripetail said. "if you have anythig to say i oyour defense Mr Johnson, I suggest you speak now.

Tigress climbed onto the bed and stretched, the vomiting spell had left her weak and tired. "Do you have anything to eat?' She asked Dixie, who sat down next to her..

Deimos thought a moment. "How about menial work, like trash disposal?" he suggested.

"In my defense," Logan said. "I really wasn't aware that munitions were being stored there.

"Mr. Johnson, there is a sign that clearly states 'Magazine. No smoking' near the entrance to the cave."

Deimos then radioed Capt. Milos.

"Captain Milos, we have identified the source of the magazine fire, it was a miner named Logan Johnson. Stripetail and I are currently sentencing him. We need you to judge him as well. Deimos out," he said into the radio.

[Nick22]

" do you have any family, Mr Johnson?' Stripetail asked.
_ Coming on, hold off on the sentencing until I get there' Milos said..he was headiing up the stairs to the third floor.

Jason and Guilmon helped with the cleanup and any moving around needed.  

"Tiring." Guilmon said stretching a bit.  

"Indeed, and late at night also, or early, depending on how one looks at it." Jason said.

"Maybe sign can be enchanted to shoot slivers if someone smokes?" Guilmon said.

"I don't think that will be necessary, though that can be kept as a later option." Jason said smiling a bit at the idea.

[Serris]

"Died at Southport," Logan replied.

"Well, Mr. Johnson, you're currently looking at some hard labor for punishment," Deimos said.

One of the refugees who assisted in putting out the fire turned to Guilemon. "Nah, we've got our guns right here," he said, patting the pistol in its holster on his hip.

[MrDrake]

Eevee continued to cough as Drake picked her up "You need some help"

"But I'm fine, really" Eevee coughed some more.

"Don't kid yourself, you inhaled smoke from the fire, filled your lungs, not a good thing at all" Drake replied back as he turned to Haresh "Quick question, where's your hospital wing or whatever it is you want to call it?"

ca[ptain Milos entered a few minutes later " so this is the guilty party huh.. ' he glanced at Logan.
- hes a volunteer, lost his family at southport" stripetail said ' well then, a touch of leniency for that, but only a  touch though.. we're moving you to night patrol, for the next week, you will patrol each floor of this hotel, from midnight to 8 am, top to bottom.' Milos said. While you are there you will enforce curfew, no one out of bed past midnight, and you will not be allowed to smoke while on shift. consider it leniency, we could have you pulling weeds and repairing the damage to the hotel by yourself. mr Johnson, if this happens again, there will be no leniency.." Milos said sizing Logan up. "you will be shot... Do I make myself clear?"

[MrDrake]

Back in the lobby, Zack was sitting down for the time being, strumming away in his guitar with a tune of his own, keeping up the practice at the moment.

Pandora heard the strumming from the ballroom and decided to go and investigate the noise, finding Zack and looked to his guitar "Heh, not bad at all"

Zack looked over to Pandora "Well, you haven't really seen anything yet....trust me on that one" he replied back to her, still strumming away.

In her room, Zoe had finally managed to get hold of her people back in Union City "About time, listen, we're in another world, some sort of hotel and the town looks like it's been bombarded with missles and the likes....what's the situation on your end? Any sign of Ghost by any chance?" she asked into her earpiece before recieving an answer "I see, alright, I may have an idea on where he is then.....I'll keep you updated when I can"

' Lets see.. We still have that candy from a few days ago.." Dixie said heading over to the basket of candy..  she selected a chocolate covered marshmallow treat and handed it to tigress " munch on that . if you still feel sick.."
_ I do.." tigress moaned ' thanks for the treat though.. ' she added taking a small nibble.. dixie went over shook Scooby " scooby do we have any medicine for upset stomachs? Dixie asked  A Scooby stirred from his sleep and looked at her through bleary eyes " Tigress hasn't been feeling well, and I wasn't sure if we had anything..
