The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Ok, I'm sorry. I hate the word "fanfic". It just pisses me off for some reason.

I prefer the term SF or science-fiction be used instead of "sci-fi". I NEVER use the word "sci-fi", ever.

It mildly irritates me when the term “missing link” is used to describe a newly discovered fossil species that demonstrates an evolutionary transition (such as a feathered dinosaur or “fish” with limbs), because it implies that the species in question is a definitive ancestor of a living species, when it could simply represent a “sibling” of the undiscovered true ancestor. (“Transitional form” is the scientifically preferred term.)

Pronounced "pan-JEE-uh". Spelled with three A's. Represented by a Lystrosaurus.

Ever since my Latin classes, I've been extremely tempted to say several "V's" as "W's" (as they are said in Latin, since the pronunciation for "V" did not exist). Like, I see Viacom and I want to say it "Wee-a-comb" XD

I'm finally getting back to making pictures of my RP game's main race, the Dracons. Progress will be slow until classes are done for the year, though.

I've been to at least four countries in my life and to 13 states in my life. Not including states I just passed through in the airport.

I am a true believer in the paranormal, and one of my goals is to visit the seven scariest places in America I saw on the Travel Channel last year.  Next month, when my mother and I take a road trip out to my internship site in Wyoming, I am going to pay a visit to one of these locations for the first time.  Here it is, courtesy of Photobucket pictures I found:

The Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Louisville, Kentucky:

And a shot of the infamous Death Chute:

I can't convince my mother to go in the joint with me.  She scares WAY too easily :lol.  She took one look at this bay boy online and said, "No *censored* way am I goin' in there!"

I am rarely the starter of an MSN chat but I quite like MSN chats, especially when there is a topic beyond small talk.
There are many GOF members whom I would really, really like to get to know better on MSN, but unfortunately they don't have MSN accounts.

I'm a pacifist, I hate everything that has to do with war.

Another fact:
I've had the English version of FireFox on my laptop with a English spelling correction function (I don't know how it did happen). After I've formatted my notebook, I accidently installed the German version, and now I don't have this correction anymore. :( I hope I can install it with an Add-on.

EDIT: YES! YEES! It worked! :D Now I have this function.

As an avid video gamer (as you all know), my least favourite types of games are Sport Sims. Games like FIFA, NBA, Madden etc all bore the hell outta me. Cartoony ones like Mario Super Charged Football I'll play coz the surrealism makes it fun (albeit VERY frustrating at times!). I'm all for giving games a go but you will never find a seriously modelled sports sim game in my VG collection. NEVER EVER! :p

I don't really watch a lot of anime.  The only ones I've seen and have enjoyed are Pokemon, Digimon, Dragonball Z, Cardcaptor Sakura and Afro Samurai.

The one I despise the most is Naruto, I just can't stand it is all.

My fav school subjects were English, P.E and Biology.
My least were History (sorry Malte :oops), Maths and Physics (although I did do rather well in my exams on those subjects)

I'm about 85% sure I'm going to become a complete nerd when DC Universe Online comes out. It just looks so great  :cry

Three of four classes that I am currently taking in college are history-related.

I prefer fanfictions that are similar in tone, humor, and overall feel to whatever they are originally based on.
